I downloaded RoCX, but it has a few bugs. Based on an FAQ page I read, it needs version 1.22. I downloaded it, put it on a flash drive and tried to install it to my gaming computer. The problem is, the bottom of the screen still says 1.00, and the bugs are still there. Could someone explain how to install the patch?

Rhye's of Civilization Expanded, a popular mod. I've solved my problem, so don't worry.

Well, I have the same problem. And I did not not solve it yet. I extracted 1.22 patch into CivIII/Conquest file.

I want this patch to be able to play Medieval Mode II (by Yoda & co.).

Can somebody post here how to instal the patch into CivConquest corect way, or guide me to a related post, please?

Do you have admin rights on the account that's performing the patch?

You download the patch, and double-click on it. No "extracting", or anything like that. :)

I HAVE FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!!

I used to have the problem of the Patch not working for me, but it just did. Here's how to get it to work, fo anyone else who has had the same problem as me:

Download the No Raze patch and run that Conquests, not the original. I did it, and now it works perfectly! Thank you everyone! :D

Edit: Just in case, you do know that you have to install the 1.22 patch as well, right?

Thanks Meteor Man, however, I found much easier solution for this buger.

Do you have admin rights on the account that's performing the patch?
I guess, this is a nice way to ask if I got legal copy of CivIIICon?:) Yes I do, unless there is a date of expire, since it's very old.

BINGO! As usuall, it is so simple, yet somehow I always make it very complicate:crazyeye:

Thank you. It works perfect, now.

Many regards to you two old warriors.

Nope. Civ3 requires that the user be logged on as an administrator in order to write files to the hard drive. Non-admin accounts don't have this ability. Well, I'm sure they could write to the hard drive, but there are files that Civ3 updates that it can't do if the account is not an administrator.

If I was really concerned about the legality of your copy, I'd straight out ask you if it was legal. But the problem you presented doesn't really sound like a pirated copy issue. ;)

Thanks for acknowledging me, Gradac. Glad you found your problem. Mabey I should try that. However, I do like the no raze bisness, so no complaints. :D
