Says here that you can down load 99% of the game now and get the other 1% when the game is available. Anyone gonna do it?

I've pre-ordered mine, so no need. I would like to know how to get the other 1% though... :evil:

I was excited for a couple minutes because I thought you coulod download and then play 99% of the game with some little stupid part missing.

This would be nice if you also got a physical copy. Otherwise, you're getting a game that you can only re-download for 6 months unless you pony up 6$ more. Now, I don't trust EA the tiniest bit, so Id like to have a physical copy.

Not necessarily. Set it to download overnight and you're fine. Its the fact that you dont get a hard copy in case something happens is what the bad part is.

At 250kb/sec, regular cable, it's not too long to download ~ 1/2 day. With the securom issue on this game, I'm not sure it really matters if you buy the physical copy or not. Either way you get screwed.

Edit: I'm gonna go with physical disk, cuz the paranoid in me imagines EA will 'update' the game, 'accidentally' erasing my digital copy right after the 'free' 6 months download limit kicks in. At least you'll be able to play an un-patched original version forever on the physical installation if you never reinstall.
