Hey,
I have a problem! I'm playing in a Emperor game (Darius of Persia) and so far its my best ever start. Its turn 8 (on this save) and I have 80 gold and 4 techs. I got gifted Animal Husbandry (to reveal horses) and Mining (next tech is Bronse Working to chop trees and Rush Settler).

What an absolute godly start right?
My plan from here would be to settle next to some horses... I played on until turn 30 with my scout... and there is only one source of horse on the entire continenet 19 tiles south of my capital..

Will settling next to it completely kill my economy? I mean, its going to take... 40 turns to build a road? (is that correct - I don't know the turns on roads) and then 2 or four on the pasture... to get my horse.. Unless I build directly only top?

Don't worry about horses right now. Wait for BW and settle your first settler next to some bronze, provided that it is nearby. Barring that I would settle near a good food source. Placing your second city so far away is foolhardy at best.

I found a horse on a thundra 5 tile NE at the top of the continent.. This is definately the best start I've ever had on any game.

Game Save added.

I gave up on a simaler game as Native America, which I got 4 techs, unlocking Archers, Dog Soldiers, Mystism (for Totem Pole), and Animal Husbandry (I think...)

I also had Copper in my BFC.

It would have been far too easy, so I gave up.

If it was on Diety level, it might have been interesting....

I won the game in the end. 6 hours 50 minutes play time.. but more like 11 because I replayed about 500 turns when I realised I couldn't prevent Ghandi on the other continent from getting the oil resource. I thought the whole continent only had one oil so I made it a mission to stop it... turns out one of his cities was planted on top also.

Space victory end in 1950.

He's Persia - horses/Immortals are probably worth more than anything he can get from copper. Getting bronze working will be big for chopping, but I'd think that copper should be secondary to horses, in this case, for a resource to aim for.

His grammar is perfect, your arrogance is obvious.
