View Full Version : Space stage warning!
cephalo Sep 09, 2008, 06:16 PM Do NOT follow the tutorial in regards to starting a war. I was led astray right at the beginning, and now the game is ruined because I have no weapons, no empire, no money, and no chance for completing missions because I can only defend my home planet against unending attacks with no means of retaliating.
If you allow war to occur with your neighbors, expect to be engaged 100% of the time. Before that happens, you need some way to eliminate their colonies or you will be stuck with constant repetitive busy work. I see no solution but to start over, and frankly I only mildly enjoyed the first run through.
alex994 Sep 09, 2008, 06:45 PM Oooh, thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
SimonL Sep 09, 2008, 06:47 PM That's the common complain now. I have no doubt they will make a patch to stop all the attacks and let us breath and enjoy the galaxy a bit. I did the same mistake as you. Basically you should always choose when to go to war, that means coughing up the money when you are threatened. Every time.
That being said, I wish someone would show me how to invade others. I haven't been able to do an effective attack.
cubsfan6506 Sep 09, 2008, 06:50 PM Simon you either need to have pulse lasers or mini bombs, and you need to get badges to these. It's also easier if you get allies to help you attack planets.

And how do you get these badges? By attacking planets? ..... .... Well I guess I could find out myself ingame :) Lazinessss.
Dale Sep 09, 2008, 08:00 PM Wierd. I had a "friendly" creature hit space and was made to ally with someone by the tutorial, not attack them.
It must all depend on how you play previous phases.

I think you can pick whatever you want from the tutorial. I went "all green" in my previous game and when I asked them about "I want to learn about interacting with other species", he offered me to befriend them or to attack them. In fact, once I had completed the "befriend quest" I could still take the "attack quest". However, since the enemy he wanted me to attack had already started attacking me out of the blue, well, he wasn't able to give me the quest anymore...

You get it by attacking the random UFO's which attack you as you play, also defending your allies from their enimies is another way, or just destroying civilizations (non space race), or just kill some creatures or tribes.

Could be right, but i was a carnivore, and took over the world both in the tribal and civilization stage, but still was asked to ally.
