I refuse to install mods tbh. I will wait and hope for a patch.

Did you even bother to check it out? It's just a file that you swap in and out of a directory

I checked it, but wasn't it a replacement? Sorry for the misunderstanding if it wasn't. It's just, well, whenever I mod a game it has a tendency to collapse completely x)

Bad karma first post, I know it. Sorry! :)

Or there is this trainer as well which gives you - http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/spore-game-discussion/337394-spore-trainer-lighto.html

* All Needed Badges // Unlocks all badges you need so you can buy everything (Ship Abilities) at the Colony
* Fleet Hack // Lets you recruit from same ally until you fleet is full and automatically gives you maximal fleet size (5)
* 99,999,999 Cash // Instantly changes your money to this amount
* Immortality // Makes your ship have 999,999 life constantly
* Infinite Energy // Makes your ship have max energy constantly
* Freeze Enemies // Freezes all enemy ships where they are instantly allowing you to take your time with them
* Infinite Item Uses // Allows you to use an item an infinite amount of times (Staff of Life, Planet Buster etc)
* Infinite Storage Limit // You no longer have a 99 item limit per slot so you can pick up as much spice as like or creatures from a planet or missles etc
* Health Destroy // This destroys the health of just about everything around you (Including your allies) but it doesnt effect you.... I suggest use this on systems you wish to conqure and dont bring allies with you
* Range Hack // This lets you go full range anywhere you wish even to center of the Galaxy without having you range limited by gravity (Also you have maximal range even with lvl 1 drive)
Space Stage (Diplomacy Section) :
* Wipe Clean // This wipes all your *transgressions* etc 100% clean with all alien races and will totally END any wars aganist you.. Now you can disable this function and start making friends again from a *clean* slate
* NOP Hate // This forces all races to become *Good* with you and will not attack you even if they were at war with you before.. The effect is removed when you disable this function
* Force Loyatly // This will FORCE a all nations to become 1000 percent loyal to you if you just have 1 statistic with them even a negative one note the loyalty is only in effect while this function is enbabled this is to get an alliance

That is more cheating, not just changing the game play to make the game better.

been playing on normal difficulty, so far the game isn't that hard (currently in civ stage)

not 100% sure if I'll use this mod, even my 11 year old daughter seems to not have any problems with rate of attacks/disasters

We see another downside of DRM, I mean, with Civ I have tried all sorts of mods and it's fun, but it did happen that a mod kind of screwed my game in a way that I didn't understand because of the mod itself or interaction with other mods, and I had to resort to reinstalling...

If the same thing happens with Spore, when time comes to download a patch (if I have modded my Spore) or anything like that, and I have to reinstall the game... um... Well I have 3 chances only.

Genv [FP]

Those 3 installs are reset every 10 days.

Look, EA is retarded. Not the stupid retarded, the brain dead retarded.

By releasing spore early in europe, they encouraged piracy. By installing a DRM, they further encouraged piracy.

And they even have a shitty download manager which . .. .. .. .s up games on a regular basis. EA is managed by incompetent weasels.

No, they aren't. You apparently tried connecting their first plan (Validate your install every ten days) with their new plan (Install 3 times, then suck for it.) Two different things. Both potentially illegal in the U.S and down right wrong.

Gah. At Issue No1; It's confusing what the stance exactly is for me. I heard some stuff that they changed something related to account creation or some . .. .. .. .. I'm still positive though, that you can get your installs reset by phoning EA.

At No:2, It was a leak a week before the official release date - It was also given out in europe a day or two before the official european release date. There was not a torrent until September 3rd.

While playing today i have not encountered any UFO attacks in the last hour, leaving me to my own devices (except 1 grox attack), i did this by killing off my enimies slowly as i slowly built up as i defended myself. Now i can start buying up systems and and settling new ones.

As soon as you expand even a bit further, you're bound to encounter a new civilization.

I tried to expand to places where no one was, which succedded for a bit, but i did eventually find new civs, but many of them had my allies between me and them so they didn't attack as much as my earlier allies.

But then they'll start attacking your allies and your allies will call for help and if you don't answer the call... yeah. Remember all the things that can degrade your relationships...

Not giving money when asked
Not answering your allies' call for help to fight a bio-disaster
Not answering your allies' call for help against pirates
Not answering your allies' call for help against Grox
Not answering your allies' call for help against an alien nation
Not answering your ally A's call for help against an attack from your ally B
Not answering your ally B's call for help against an attack from your ally A
Answering ally B's call for help against an attack from ally A
Answering ally A's call for help against an attack from ally B
Defending your territory from an attack from an alien race
...

The last point annoys me. I was trying to mend relationships with an alien race, but how am I supposed to do that when I have a permanent -100 diplo penalty called "You destroyed our ships!" ... Oh did I? Well you were attacking me I was defending my colony. You should only get such a penalty when you were the aggressor!

In fact, the same problem occurs in all other stages. I was trying to be "green" (friendly) in tribe stage after having been carnivorous (red) and adaptable (blue) in the first two stages... So I had a slope to climb on the graph thingy. I had to befriend all the tribes. But when they attacked me and I defended my village, my path on the evolutionary graph would take a steep dive towards the "aggressive" section. I managed to achieve my goal but it was a rather close call. I shouldn't get "aggressive" points when I'm defending!

Is there a good reason to get an ally in space? Seems like keeping them at friendly is good enough. They won't attack you and won't ask you for help all the time... No? Why get an ally!? It's only trouble.

If you don't want pirate attacks then go fo the pirates be gone consequence. If you want diplomacy easier go for the diplomacy consequence. By modding pirates you are rendering an entire line of evolution pointless.

I tried the extreme version and I have noticed a significant drop although it seems the timer resets when I reload a game. Which is alright I guess.

I've been playing this afternoon, without allying to anyone (you get no diplo penalty for refusing to ally) and I must say that it's been much more controllable for now.

There is still this one species that is likely going to go to war with me, but I'll destroy them.

I don't know what happened in this case, this guy I had a good relationship with, and at some point I notice I have a "-70 you refused to pay tribute!" penalty towards him. I have no idea how that happened, I never got the request to start with!

This is easy to get around. As soon as they spawn, send your cheiften to give them a gift. If they start annoyed/angry they go to neutral, and if they're neutral they go to happy. Either way, you'll never get attacked.

Besides, Tribe shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes anyways. ;)

You preobably did what I did. Whenever I would get transmissions from one race I knew they wanted money so I just stopped answering. You still get the penalty even if they never ask.

HA, I had to restart in tribe and I have many Civfanantic Spore buddies content!
They are all very strong and the cute green creatures by SimonAL are fierce!

No, I answered all transmissions! I never saw a single request for money. I saw one actually, and I accidentally refused to pay for that one, so I got -30 or something. But now I'm up to -100 and I never saw the other requests.

Also SpurnSpore, the green ones? I dunno if it's the green ones that I'm thinking about, but they may be the first one I made, I thought it was rather retarded looking and didn't like it :D If it's these guys, they are supposed to be rather friendly!
