I was out of touch with the rest of the world and as you can see they were in a tech sharing love fest. I didn't have any religions. Being a watery map from my perspective, I picked up GLH and Colossus. When I finally found the rest of the world I got a few techs and some religions spread my way. Being the AI their military was woeful and I was able to take one city. But with a backward navy I can't move in reinforcements.
