Hi All,

I recently reinstalled Civ 4 Gold on my pc. I has some problems installing it and did all of the registry cleaning, but now I have a brand new problem: when I try to start the game, all that happens is the cursor changing into an hourglass for a second and then nothing.

Has anyone seen this before? The game ran fine in the past, so I have no idea what is going on.

does the windows event manager show any error message related to civ?

the program does not show up in the task manager, either as an application or as a process.

I have yet to see any error messages. :confused:

Any ideas?

could you open the windows event manager (not the task manager) and see if there is an error message noted there?
