I don't know if it is the same for anyone else, but whenever I do a random "New World" large size map, it always places me as the southernmost country, down near the freaking Tundra. I noticed it since I played 3 games, then I just started making maps and looking in world viewer, and literally, 20 times in a row, I was the bottom country.

Anyway, this annoys me, and the general shape of the continents as well. Anyone have a map script on the way? ASAP? :)

My biggest gripe is that many times it seems like the Panama Canal ends being the size of the Bering Strait.

Agreed, the map scrips are... not good. Hopefully there will be something on the way soon.

I don't know if this is a problem with the map scripts - but also on the scenarios that Dale has made in his AoD-mod I end up starting just outside southern Argentina in all my restarts of the scenario. And it does not matter what nationality I play - this happens every time to me regardless, and I also find it highly annoying (up to the point where I actually start the map editor, remove the ship and units, and place them somewhere else - I still have to deal with any new ships bought in Europe popping up at that position down there though...).

Yes, there seems to be a lot of problems with the maps! And I am having troubles with editing and creating maps of my own as well!
