Playing the Elohim, I was able to remain at peace indefinitely sacrificing Corlindale then resurrecting him with Sphener (though I suppose any unit with resurrect would do) and repeating. The peace from the sacrifice would always be longer than the 7 turns it took to resurrect Corlindale again. It won me the game (altar victory), but it seemed too powerful. It also made the Elohim world spell obsolete.

By the way, I think I could have won the wars, I mainly used this tactic to avoid Curse the Land. I thought curse the land was really nasty, but maybe it was because I didn't have the patience to let my largest cities starve for 15+ turns while I tried to appease the divinity. :)

I think it's more of an issue in the changes made to resurrect a few of the main mod versions ago - that's definitely an extreme example, but there are other equally cheeky things that can be done with that spell.

It works in the original FFH, too - I think I mentioned using the tactic somewhere in the strategy threads. Heck, I think I mentioned it in the FFH Manual thread, in my writeup for the Elohim....

It makes the Order Elohim much more appealing, doesn't it?

Why does Sphenor have Life magic anyway? I know he's had it for a long time, but wouldn't it make a lot more sense to change this to Law?

An even more asinine exploit: give Corlindale Life 3 and Death 3, then lich him. This qualifies as a 'death', so you can build the Shrine of the Champion and have the lich resurrect Corlindale. Rinse and repeat until you have 4 hero liches and a vanilla Corlindale.
