I reinstalled Civ4 a few days ago and when I installed the patch it says 0 out of -1 bytes downloaded. It then says that it can't be downloaded successfully, so does anyone know what to do to fix this. Thanks

ive just reinstalled as well. Currently have version 1.0.9 vanilla civ and recieve aforementioned "downloaded 0/-1 bytes" message. Ive tried downloading civiv patch 1.74 manually but it also doesnt work. Its not allowing me to install bts because my vanilla isnt updated. PLS HELP very desperate here, thanks

You are trying the in-game updater? Did either of you try downloading the patch manually yet?

For all three of you - try downloading and installing 1.61 patch first. Then apply the 1.74 patch. There seem to be some issues going straight to 1.74.

What is your graphics card? Are your drivers updated? How about DirectX, have you updated that as well?
