Ok I have the error where it tells me that my data3.cab is corrupt or in an unknown file format. Ive tried installing on my tablet pc multiple times and it keeps coming up with the critical error message. It installs all the way up to the end and then just stops and the setup freezes.

I know its not the CD because it installed fine on my older desktop pc.

Both computers are using XP with the latest service pack. I also updated all my drivers so it cant be that. My tablet is using Windows XP Tablet Edition, but I don't think that really makes a difference.

Any Suggestions?

It is still possible it could be a scratch on the CD. Maybe your tablet PC optical drive is more sensitive, or is itself a bit dirty.

could be. it is a cd/dvd combo drive, my old one was just a cd rom drive. oh well ill just have to be civless :(
