I don't have civ 4, i play #3. I recently undated from the jewel pack to Civ3 complete. But when i start the program, there is no text, so i just hit enter alot, and it takes me to the start of a game......with no text. Then i crashes saying: FATAL ERROR: unable to allocate draw buffer. I have found similar threads here, but the links on those threads to fix the problems have expired, and even Atari,com no longer has a thread to fix this. Can anyone help?

Did you uninstall the old Civ3 before installing Civ3 complete?

I reinstalled the latest DirectX and reinstalled Civ3Complete after eradicating the remains of the Jewel pack files and it works. :goodjob:
