Hi there! I've been looking into starting a mafia game for some time now, so here it is; a mafia game with a few unique twists! This takes place in a Dark Ages medieval era in an English-like town. Let's begin with the story...

In the old kingdom of Voltaland, times were uneasy. Voltaland was a small island kingdom which was inhabited by two countries, Hyatta, the greater kingdom, and Gegorio, the lesser country. Also, the northern part of the island was inhabited by a barbaric tribe known simply as the Redarms. After a long war between the two countries, the Hyattan and Gegorian kingdoms signed a peace treaty, ending the bloody war. All was well, except for one small town stuck between the two countries and the barbaric Northland. This town, Civolta, was populated by soldiers, merchants, and clergymen, and the town was also filled with Redarm, Hyattan, and Gegorian loyalists. Just when things couldn't get any worse, a new evil surfaced in the town. One day, a man was discovered hanging from his roof. The only clue to his death was a mark shaped like a Crescant moon in his doorway. Soon, many more started being killed with the same mysterious mark nearby. The mysterious murders were soon discovered to be the work of a notorious secret society called the Nightshadow Guild. After ten more murders, the townsfolk had decided that it was time to take matters into their own hands.


That's the story! In this game, the mafias will be members of the Nightshadow guild. There will also be unique agendas for each player, three visible (soldier, priest, and merchant) and three hidden (Hyattan loyalist, Gegorian loyalist, Redarm loyalist). So here are the rules.

-There will 1 mafia for every six or seven players.
-Mafia members will PM their kills and clues to me at night time.
-Nights will last about 24 hours.
-All clues must be explained to me.
-Talking at night is NOT allowed.
-False clues are allowed, and you can't give me two false clues in a row.
-Day will last about 48 hours.
-Voting will occur during the day.
-The amount of votes given will equal the number of mafia.
-All votes must be in bold.
-I will PM all players to give them their agendas and their mafia status.
-Beware mafias, for you won't know who the other mafias are! Watch out!
-Everyone, mafia or not, will recieve one visible and one invisible agenda.
-You may share your invisible agenda, keep it secret, or lie about it. I have no problems with that. The visible agenda will be revealed in the player lists once the game begins.
-All clues must be related to the user, but roleplaying IS encouraged, as it makes the game fun! :D
-Once again, roleplaying is encouraged, but not required.

Not quite. You may feel free to threaten your opponents to switch if you are a mafia, but the agendas are part of the story (I did say roleplaying was encouraged). The main idea of the agendas are to dictate what happens in the story when the game is over. An innocent priest loyal to the Gegorians surviving to the end would cause a different end to the story than a mafia merchant loyal to the Redarms, for example.

"No thank you," the man said, his voice trailing off. "I seek a room for the night."
"Well, I believe I have a few rooms left for you," the bartender said with a sly smile. "I warn you..." said a strange voice. "The Nightshadows are like shadows. Little can protect you from them..." the voice came from a man sitting in the corner. The man standing at the bar gave a smile and said, "Reverend Izipo, I believe?"
"Yes, I am he. And I believe you are sirtommygun, the famous merchant?"
"Yes I am," sirtommygun replied. "Well, I am going up to bed. I've had a long journey."
"Goodnight," said Izipo. "And watch yourself.

Upon looking at the user profiles, BananaLee is the only one who hasn't been online since before the night started (although I can't know if Tasslehoff was online, he has hidden mode on).

My apologies to Plarq for the London thing. Somehow I got it mixed with someone else, but the weirdest part is I can't seem to find again who it was who had 'London' as his location.
So, unless someone changed his location after the game began, I must have been hallucinating.

The clues are a little too obvious for my taste, so before I think of something better I'll vote for Sneerk and Carmen510 (for finding such a link so quickly).

Hitti-litti and.. err.. i got nothing. Its unlikely to be izipo and Icekommander seems somewhat far fetched. Smeg it, i'll go with Icekommander.

Seems like the staff available at our local church is dwindling. What evil lies in this barren land that leads us to kill these men of the cloth? Ah, well. We better use the extra thick rope on this one, you never know what help the gods will lend onto the priest when the time shall come for their final repentance.

Izipo reached into his cloak, but the soldier slashed at him and Izipo fell to the floor, dead. The soldier, jeps, leaned on his stained sword as the Lord's troops poured in behind him, closely followed by Lord Electric himself. "Sire," said one of the troops. Electric and jeps saw what Izipo had grasped before his death; a holy pendant. "Damn!" jeps cried in anger. "Those heathanic Nightshadows don't use no holy pendants!"
"Patience, man," Lord Electric said calmly, but with a hidden anger in his voice. "I'm sure our other accused is guilty." At that moment, a harried choxorn rushed in gasping for breath. "Sire!" he gasped. "Hitti-Litti has been executed!"
"Yes, and?" jeps said with eagerness. "Nothing!" choxorn replied. "No tattos, no symbols, nothing! Hitti-Litti was not a member of the Nightshadow guild!" Electric struck the ground angrily. jeps stepped foward and said, "Sir, we should keep searching. icekommander is also being suspected, so..."
"No!" Electric cried. "We shall not incite anarchy in our town. jeps, tell my governor to establish a curfew until the Nightshadows are eliminated." At this, he walked out of the room, stepping over the innocent Izipo's corpse.

Merchant plarq closes his shop early, wanders around the streets of Civolta, after all those bloodshed, in this extended day in courtesy of Electric. "Business going bad!" He signed, as fewer and fewer customers are here alive, and the dogs of war may approach this border town at any time.

"You sucker!" shouts taillesskangaru, with a kangaroo as his Coat of Arms, "You are the mastermind behind all those tragedies of the whole town!" He swings his spear and trying to hit plarq.

"Are you really crazy?" says plarq, evading his weapon, "The Nightshadow Guild was a secret organization allied with crime syndicates in the three kingdoms. Now you think you're that smart to see through their tricks?"

"The last ship to Port Author was already leaving the shore of Voltaland, with the unconscious phillippe aboard. If he was here, he could already accuse you for kidnapping!" Says taillesskangaru.

"Well that's exactly what I want to say!" says plarq, "but, have you ever thought of the ship only as a decoy? Poor phillippe might have been killed last night. Leaving us as framed citizens, the true mafia must be there laughing at our stupidity!"

Carmen510 walks down the street trying to hunt some villains at that time. He joins taillesskangaru in the verbal abusing spree against plarq.

Lord Electric marches through the town, followed by jeps and Empiremaker, who were kindly assisting in attempting to hunt down the Nightshadows. It was then that Electric came across kangaru, plarq, and Carmen in there verbal battle. Suddenly, Carmen, full of rage, grasped a great sword from a nearby blacksmith walking across the street and swung it at plarq. He collapsed to the ground with a great gash across his face, screaming in pain. "No!!! Stop thy madness!" cried Lord Electric. kangaru reacted quickly and pulled out a dagger, delivering a wound to Carmen's thigh. With a scream of raged, Carmen plunged the sword through kangaru's chest, leaving him to die. Before he could finish off plarq, Empiremaker swung his great axe and cleaved Carmen's head open, killing him. Lord Electric, meanwhile, dropped to his knees, stunned by this violence. jeps went to plarq, who was still whimpering and clutching his cheek. "He's still alive..." jeps said, relieved. He turned around and spotted Reverend rhawn, who was striding out of the Inn to see what had happened. "rhawn! Help me take plarq into the Inn! He needs treatment!" rhawn nodded and helped jeps carry plarq into the Inn. Empiremaker walked up to examine the corpses of the two dead men. "Goddamn!" he cried. "None of these fools are members of the Nightshadows!" He stuck the blade of his axe into the ground. Lord Electric gave a sigh and said, "They were due to die, after all. But still, such violence..." He turned to look at the setting sun. "We must go and hope for the best. We have been so unsuccesful in this crusade, we must turn to generic diety for any hope we have left."

He seemed unusually serene given the present situation and drank his goblet of wine almost as if he was thinking of some royal decree before supper. He turned towards the bedroom door when one of his servants came into the room, looking very nervous. "Well?" Electric asked. "What is it?"

"S-s-sire..." the servant stammered. "The villagers have voted to s-s-send more to the...er...gallows for their..."
"What?" Lord Electric said, surprised. "Why wasn't I notified? I have a squad set out for the sole purpose of..."
Lord Electric paused. A dawn of realization came upon his face, and his anger began to build.
"Empiremaker? jeps? Have they been..."
"Yes, s-s-sir..." said the servant weakly. "They were just hung only a..."
Lord Electric gave a cry of rage and flung the goblet to the ground, smashing it to bits. The servant gave a frightened squeek and ran from the room. Lord Electric paid no attention to him as he was currently in a violent rage over the loss of two of his soldiers. "Goddamn it!" he said to himself. "These attacks must stop. If King Tyralde hears of these murders, he'll come and remove me. How could those foolish villagers think that MY soldiers were Nightshadows? I HIRED them knowing they weren't!" None of this was heard by the villagers, who were sleeping with false hope that night...

I'm a Redarm royalist and a Nightshadow Guild member.

I kill Catharis first, Love second, philippe third, and kill fire since he's inactive.

I was Hyattan loyalist. Huzzah Hyatta! Anyway...

First Target: NWAG3. NWAG was a target, simply because he came from the NES forums and was in several NESes that I was that I planned to pull clues from. The clue was: Neverwonagame3 is found dead in his house with a hole through his chest and a pool of blood and water seeping out from underneath him. He was killed by an icicle which then melted into water.

First Day: Jumped on a band wagon or three

Second Target: D'Artagnan. He was a second target for much the same reason NWAG was. The clue :D'artagnan is found dead by a sword with "Made in Sweden" inscribed on the hilt was a reference to my recent destuction at the hands of Sweden in ASNES.

Second day: At this point Carmen began pointing his finger at me... For the wrong clue >.<! Needless to say I tried to fight back and eventually I survived. But due to that battle assasinating Carmen in the middle of the night would lead ruin.

Third Target: Origionally my target was Plarq to draw attention away from me. However Electric stepped in at this point and stopped me from killing my second fellow nightshadow in a row. Lacking a better target I shifted to Choxorn. The clue Choxorn is found dead, having talked himself to death was a reference to the same article Carmen pulled his earlier accusation(quite untrue!) trying to nail him safely.

Third Day: My clue from that night served well enough to nail Carmen and once again I escaped by the skin of my teeth.

Fourth Night: Lacking a better target I choose Rhwan. Needing to pull attention away from me, Then he fell into the ocean and was eaten by a fish I did a false clue directed at Empire Maker.

Fourth day:At this point myself and fellow mafia Plarq dominated the scene nailing two innocents. At that point it was over.

Okay, the voting was a disaster, since pretty much everyone voted for tommy to win, so the winner will be a surprise. Until you read the story, that is! :D

The two Nightshadows drifted towards the man standing at the town hall, bedecked in their usual apparel. The Nightshadow grandmaster turned to his two subordinates and said, "Well?"
"sirtommygun is dead," stated icekommander. "He was nothing, a mere stumbling stone in our path to victory."
"Excellent," the grandmaster stated. "But there is still two more people that must be removed for the Nightshadows to take over. The two Nightshadows were confused. The Grandmaster smiled, and plunged his dagger into icekommander's shoulder! "No!" plarq cried as icekommander fell to the ground. plarq tried to give a defensive slash with his sword to the traiterous Grandmaster, but it was parried and he simply knocked off the mask of the Grandmaster. The Grandmaster gave another smile and turned his face to plarq. Plarq gasped. "No! It can't be!"
"YES IT IS, YOU CUR!" cried Lord Electric. I am the Grandmaster of the Nightshadows! I orchestrated the destruction of the people in this town!"
"You?" plarq flailed wildly. "But...why?"
"You haven't caught on?" Electric said evily. "The Nightshadows were a scam, made by me alone! I don't give a damn about the supreme goals of the Clan or their cultist crap!"
"Why, though?" plarq demanded. "Why would you want to do this?"
"Because the throne is mine!" Lord Electric revealed. "I was more worthy than that foolsih King Tyrald for the throne, but it was decided that he should recieve the crown while I got shifted aside to this stupid town. Now the King is here, and I will kill him myself and assert the crown for myself. Then I'll kill his guards and tell the kingdom that it was a Gegorian that killed the king. Then we will take over the foolish Gegorians and then your precious Redarms. I will rule this land, and none will challenge me!" Electric gave an evil laugh and plunged his great sword through plarq's chest. "This kingdom is mine!!!"

"I don't think so, my Lord..." said a voice behind him. Lord Electric turned around and looked at a man who came up behind him with an axe. He had conviniently hidden his identity with the grandmaster mask. "Who are you?" Lord Electric demanded. "I am your downfall," the man said. "You though I had died, but you were mistaken. I will not let you ruin my kingdom." The man took off the mask and icekommander, who was still dying on the ground, gave the mystery man a thumbs-up with the last bit of his strength. "You!" Lord Electric cried!"
