Seeing as how the people over at the World of Civilization project are working on a mod to allow the modular loading of mods, I was wondering if the same could be done for Colonization, seeing as how they are working on the same base.
Any ideas or experience would be welcome.

Well we started on some quantified resources and manufactured resource already in WoC. So anyway a lot of features that are in Colonization are looked at being duplicated in WoC. But see your point anyway.
I wanted to do something like this until I saw there was no easy way to have the religions and corporations in Colonization. They replaced all of those sections in the Font files for sure anyway. Religion was replaced with the founding father points and corporations with the Missionary font symbols that you see over native villages when you build a mission in the village. And that is all handled in the exe as what it reads on the font files.
We have some thoughts to do something like the founding fathers as well from new commerces we are adding. But anyway as for just a modular Colonization that is something else. Just trying to answer why we did not jump on it already.

nice stuff johnny.
if i can get a civ game that has colonization's resources and specialist handling plus jdog's revolution I'll never need another game. I hope WoC components are heading in that direction!
