What exactly does it mean to 'whip'. I see that in posts all the time but cannot figure out exactly what it is... Is it when you force production with slavery???

Thanks!

There's an article on whipping in the strategy guides forum. You should read it. Then play a few starts when you take advantage of every 2pop whip you encounter so you can see for yourself what its good for, and what its no good for.

This article. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=193659)

Well worth reading.

Oh, and to pre-empt Voice of Unreason, next time use the search function before posting such a question! ;)

Thanks for the info.

I tried searching, but it came up with a million posts (300 actually, I guess thats the max) about whipping; I didn't have any luck with finding exactly what it was...

Some of the posts and discussions are hard to follow as a relative newbie...

Thanks again for the help!

Yeah, I know. This list of acronyms and other civ terminology (http://www.civfanatics.com/civ4/reference/acronyms.php) might come in handy.

ps. I wasn't really chastising you for not finding the article - I was poking a little fun at its author (who, whilst being a total hero, has a slight obsession with forum etiquette). ;)

I probably would've caught that had I read the article before thanking you for the link, instead of the other way around! I'm on another forum where they are VERY anal about 'etiquette'.

That list of acronyms will definitely help!
