Clean it up alittle or set it upon land like the tristate area?
Since this is my first map of Kentucky throw some pointers my way:D
I only have two maps out and I think the first one sucked:lol:

I like the map. What's with all the surrounding islands though?

Well when I was making the map I was to impatient and didn't color all of the surrounding land like water.

I use a program called "BMPtoBIC" it changes an ordanary BMP image into a Civ. 3 BIC. file.
In the image that I used there were alot of colors.
The program uses 16 colors.
When I loaded the right palette it chooses the closes color.
Those islands are what the palette choose was the closes color in the palette that I loaded

Paducah is a very hot spot for tourists.
and no city should be a wasteland. but since this map would take place far off in the future the map can't resemble the present map of today.:)

I like the comment, "This is my first map of Kentucky..."

Does that mean we can expect to see a Kentucky map series?

: )

Maybe...I will make one where the land is more solid from where the waters subsided.

I haven't downloaded it but I have suggestions.
Why don't you make the civs different hillbilly clans. And make the units like Feuder or Farmer or Fur Trapper.

being from KY, i can tell you, the south-eastern section isnt desert, though it might as well be, lol, and why not make a unit called "ATF-officer", it would make sense, since they are always flying over-head in their choppers, and busting up peoples stills, lmao!

Man this one got lost some where under my e-mails

I like the ideas of the units, only do they exsist?

Eatern Knight, Ithe idea of map making (in my book) is to use the imagination.
Now you have to use yours.:):):);)
