But how old is he?

Oh, and when can we expect the actual NES to start.

Yes, it is. It rivals TWTUD and NUKENES, and the only one close to this attendence at the moment is what, LUCKNES Vb?

sp: Actually A Brave New World, End of Empires, and a few other NESes have much more attendance, but whatever.

Thanks to Abaddon, the reservations have been updated.

We are now up to 32 players reserved.... One of the larger neses that I have seen around.
crowded world

He is not old enough to want to sit here and read all the crap we write sometimes.

Oh and by the end of the week in Australia....

Stats are now at 50% complete.... but its all downhill from here!!!!!

ETA is in the next 72 hours.

An update.... The only thing missing from the stats is the military now.

I have also tweaked the rules and expanded upon colonies a little bit making them a little more integral to the nes as well.

Expect launch before too long as I am beggining the military stats now.

Reservations will not be automatic, and you must claim your nation in the nes thread when it is launched. Failure to claim within 96 hours (4 days) of the first post of the thread, will result in your nation no longer being held.

If you cannot lodge a claim on a thread in 4 days, you dont deserve to keep your reserved nation. I will however take into consideration if you have posted on the General Vacation thread.... that is what it is there for!

Also as a rule 2 turns without orders will result in immediate opening up of your nation.

Wish me luck, if all goes well I can get this started before I go to sleep....

Since questions were referred to here: As Oman what colour am I? I'm exactly sure Which of the three countries residing in the South/South East end of Saudi Arabia

Given that Charles V of Spain isn't apparently Emperor (as I found out from justokre), who is to start off with? Is the Emperor dead?

Sheep

Oman is the nation on the tip of Arabia closest to Persia. Maraha is south-west of Oman and Yemen is near the horn of Africa on the Arabian penninsula.

There is no Emeperor this turn, its a vacant position. All HRE players can run for Emperor in the elections.... Indeed any Roman Catholic can do so, but its less likely that someone from France would become a Holy Roman Emperor for example.

Why must trade be specific in nature? Unless one has some particular monopoly it is more likely to be broad based.

Sheep
Nov 14, 2008, 06:52 PM
True okay just put trade in..... could be interesting and also could cost people some money as there would have to be a trade deficit also.... mwahahaha/

Birdjaguar

Now, if a nation does create some sort of monopoly, that should be reflected also.

If 10 regiments cost 1 IC to maintain and 20 cost 2, how much does it cost for 17?

1?
1.7? Do we deal in decimals?
2? Do we round up, so 15 cost 2, but 14 cost 1?

The same question applies to ships, guns and transports.

My guess is:
0-9 regiments = 0 IC
10-19 regiments = 1 IC
20-29 regiments = 2 IC

Same goes for guns, ships and transports.

Again, just a guess...

Why's the Ottoman economy so high in comparison to the Persian one? They're only a little bit bigger than us. And the Mughals are also outclassed by the Ottomans, even though they have more people and are a bigger nation.

Because Persia rules a bunch of desert and rock, while the Ottomans rule pretty much the most prosperous and fertile land in the world at this moment.

You guys are right.... I round down maintance thus if you have 19 regiments you still only pay 1IC for that matter if you have 3 squadrons there is no maintance.

How long are turns?

Sheep

And that and the Mughals have only just conquered the Dehli Sultanate at this point so they are not going to get the most out of these people, and their homeland is Afghanistan so its not the best of places either.

I see. I have another question. Shouldn't there be a population factor as well? A manpower limit?

Sheep
Nov 15, 2008, 07:00 PM
No this is where maintance comes into play... Maybe if we were talking million man armies and such, but not at the current time.

Suffice to say regiments are all the same size, the training and number of regiments is the differential
