Here is a new concept I present to you, the people of CivFanatics. It originates from AlternateHistory.com.

The idea is to take a map of the world and add nations to it, to see what world we have in the end. This is done through claims. You will be allowed to claim for one nation.

As you can see, we start in Europe.

DA RULES!

-No huge claims. The size I have started off with in the map is about the limit. Larger claims may be approved in Asia or Africa, mind you...

-No stupid nations. I'm willing to be flexible, but the 'Holy Peoples Republic of n00bistan' will be REJECTED!. You may name nations after yourself if they are sensible, however.

-The technological level of this world is about World War One, 1900s sort of thing. Keep that in mind.

-You can claim again once two other members have made thier own land grabs. Other then that, it's first come, first serve.

-Save the map AS A PNG! Otherwise your claim will not be recognized. I cannot stress this enough.

Why is DonutLand unrealistic? I'm using a realistic strategy of denying the enemy access to that land by completely surrounding it. If any other nation wants to try and either break my line or parachute into the whole and claim that plot, they're more than welcome to.

A Divison of Italy in Europe.

Italy is governed from The Holy City of Rome by The Oligarch Of Cardinals. Each territory (bordered in gray) send one representative to this council, which is the Law making body of Italy.

This Council votes on one member to become the Grand Doge of Rome, who carries out laws, foreign policy, etc.

A simmilar system to that of The Oligarch of Cardinals in used in our judicial system.

I added the capital of Malmö. Then also the Scanians is expanding further up. mostly for natural resources such as iron.

Map has apparently been transferred (mad props for using the Northern Style NESing map, btw), so the Seleukid claims on Babylonia, Mesopotamia, and Charakene have been added. :)

Had to correct Golden Horde's claims around the Caspian. The Khanate further expanded in the east and made an amphibious landing on the southern shore of the Caspian in Iran. The capital city of the Khanate is at Sarai. Colour changed to maroon.

After taking over Castile in Spain, An Inland Areas is a filled up France. The Holy Germanic Empire expanded into Coastal Regions of Florida/Louisiana/Bahamas/Cuba. A Force is sent to south Africa.

A new rule that makes sense: takes 1 turn after telling all before a claiming force reaces into another nation. So 1 Turn from Atlantic to Pacific or Indian. Artic doesn't matter. South Africa is 1 turn away from HGE so I will post claims next turn. This is for realism.

Or, simply, To go across Cape of Hope (watever) or a line from West Australia to Singapore or Horn of Ferdinald (watever) needs to be announced 1 turn ahead for a max of one turn. AFter there it is a new base = no announcements for more expansion. Is that good?

The Eastern Marchers took a detour south to pacify the rest of Transoxiana and move into Afghanistan. The Khanate also claimed a few coastal strips in India as trading posts.

The Khanate of the Golden Horde continues expansion into the Yangtze Valley. Troops have withdrew from areas of inland Fujian and Guangdong to help facilitate expansion into the Yangtze region and in Taiwan. The Pearl River Delta and Fujianese ports remain under KGH control. KGH border garrisons have also moved to the west to claim the West Bank of the Dnieper as a buffer against the Central Europeans.

Further expansion is planned in northern China and Indochina. Also, the capital city pf the empire is likely to be moved once the conquest of China is completed.

British-controlled Yemen is mostly useless desert, and we have quite enough as it is. The Atlantic is not in our interests so we have little reason to exchange for Gibraltar.

We stand by our offer to purchase all of British-claimed Australia excluding Sydney. Should you reconsider selling us south-eastern Australia let us know and perhaps we can arrange a mutually profitable deal.

In the mean time the forces in China (finally) linked up with the troops in the Taklamakan. Also we are pleased to announce that Darwin is now part of our glorious empire.
