I had gotten pretty good at XML modding on civ4 before the siren's call of the MMO's pulled me back unto the rocks. Quite happily I found colonization by accident and after looking at the mod stuff it seems pretty straight forward....

However that kind of thinking might leave you standing on a grassy knoll at the Little Big Horn cuz just cuz it looks like it should be something I have found too often with civ modding it ain't always so.

so here are my basic questions:

Can you add in buildings in the chains...like warehouse4 warehouse5 etc....and can other resources be brought in. Logic would suggest it's all handled the way civ4 is, but before I spend 5 hours pulling my hair out I thought I'd ask to make sure the basic stuff is not hardcoded into there somewhere.

along with that can you have more tiers of goods...tobacco->cigars->to say ashtrays

I understand to "win" the game this is a lot of silliness, but I've never played colonization to win, that was never really a worry to me, I play it more for the art value of beating myself in previous games.....*:lol:he said beat me:lol:*...so the added structures are purely for fun for how I like to play.

Building chains is easier added than civ4. I'm making a "more Buildings" mod.

Have not tried to add more resourses yet.
