I was never really impressed with the artwork of the city and palace views. Just not my cup o' tea. Is there a way to blot out this option? I was thinking of just blacking out all of the image files in the city and palace view folders in the Art folder. That will take some time. Can I just delete some lines refering to the city and palace view in the script notepad in the Text folder?

Civ3 , just change preferences.

Edit: Am I thinking Civ 2? I don't have palace or city views in my games, so I thought I shut them off years ago.

The only time you have city and palace views is if you are playing an unmodded version of the game. Any changes to the basic rules eliminates this feature.

Even if you make no changes, just open a default .biq in the editor and save as to Conquests/Scenarios. It may be that you have to check Custom Rules, idk but its easily accomplished doesn't in itself change anything.
