I am unable to view land or water. All other civ 4 games work great. Why does this not?

i go through everything to setup my game and push start game i get my charecters stats and press ok then it stops responding. i have the newest version of vista but it still doesnt work! How do i fix it?:mad:

I had this problem also but fixed it. I found that the graphics setting was too high for my system even though I have vista and an almost brand new computer. Reset the graphics to LOW and you should have no problem.
