Hia, I was just wandering if its possible to expand a pre-made map if you wanted to make it larger and how to go about it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sure. Use MapTweaker. You should be able to find it around here somewhere. :)

Sure. Use MapTweaker. You should be able to find it around here somewhere. :)My experience with MapTweaker is that it enables you to add tiles onto the edges of a map - up to 362 x 362 total, if memory serves. That's useful to, for example, add the Middle East to a map of Africa.

On the other hand, if you want to increase the size (number of tiles) the same map covers - like having a larger map of just Africa - then Map Tweaker by itself won't do. And I'm not aware of any simple process. This post of mine briefly discusses my experience with the issues involved. It and post#10 (2 posts further down over there) include links to longer discussions of various techniques for creating or changing maps, while post #4 has links to both MapTweaker & BMPtoBIC.

I just want to expand it, like adding the middle east to the end, so hopefully I should be able to cope with map tweaker, once I can get it to work...

The main thing is to have the .NET runtimes installed then put the FreeImage.dll in the folder with map tweaker.
