Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 05:34 PM I mean, at least put the angry face icon. Come on, this is like 4th grade stuff you guys.
Anyway, for all of you who are feeling down, remember that it's alright to cry (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHrwcQrY-JM).
choxorn Nov 25, 2008, 05:35 PM There. :p
Kozmos Nov 25, 2008, 05:37 PM I dont see the obsession with opening new threads when they reach 1000 posts...we should have just kept rolling on too see how many posts can we shuve in before it's closed.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 05:37 PM It's more fun that way!
silver 2039 Nov 25, 2008, 05:40 PM I demand royalties for the title.
Eran of Arcadia Nov 25, 2008, 05:58 PM I rant that we will get a bunch of useless "I just want to subscribe" posts from people who don't realize you can subscribe to a thread without posting in it.
Narz Nov 25, 2008, 06:02 PM My rant : worst thread title ever!
Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 06:13 PM No, Rantii was really bad.
Huayna Capac357 Nov 25, 2008, 06:13 PM My friend since I was like 5 years old is abandoning me because I'm a nerd and he wants to be cool/get a girlfriend. That makes me mad.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 06:16 PM Quick, get one yourself, then he'll look like an idiot!
Also, people really do change. Some of my friends from when I was 5 are people I wouldn't want to associate with anymore.
Huayna Capac357 Nov 25, 2008, 06:17 PM But I'm ugly. I have lots of teh pimples...
Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 06:19 PM But I'm ugly. I have lots of teh pimples...
Well you'll never get anywhere with that attitude. Ya gotta believe!
TheLastOne36 Nov 25, 2008, 06:20 PM wait.. Abaddon didn't start the thread?
Nylan Nov 25, 2008, 06:29 PM Placement isn't even over yet and I already know I'm going to lose this game of Risk 2210

Cut out dairy & sugar.
Catharsis Nov 25, 2008, 06:30 PM TLO36: It'd be hard for him to do that considering his current situation.
Rant: stupid pickle jar remains obstinately closed. Even carving 'STUPID JAR' into the lid with a knife didn't help, and that was my best hope.
choxorn Nov 25, 2008, 06:32 PM I demand royalties for the title.
Oh, uh, no, cause my title has one more exclamation mark.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 06:35 PM Placement isn't even over yet and I already know I'm going to lose this game of Risk 2210
Oh Risk, that's my favorite board game besides Chess.
Rant: stupid pickle jar remains obstinately closed. Even carving 'STUPID JAR' into the lid with a knife didn't help, and that was my best hope.

Oh, uh, no, cause my title has one more exclamation mark.
Yeah, don't be a freeloader, silver.
TheLastOne36 Nov 25, 2008, 06:46 PM TLO36: It'd be hard for him to do that considering his current situation.
and what is that?
Trajan12 Nov 25, 2008, 07:05 PM I'm really into this chick, but for the life of me I can't get over how much she overplays the whole "Look-at-me-I'm-a-starving-bohemian-rebel-despite-the-fact-that-my-daddy-bought-me-a-hybrid-and-I-live-in-a-McMansion." And her inner circle is all the same. It's not that she's arrogant or preppy or a brat, but goddamn not only is she pretending to be something totally contrary to the reality of her life, it's so ironically stereotypical.
But then again, how many girls would I ever meet around here who are actually somewhat cultured and not just cookie cutouts?
I'm leaning toward just saying . .. .. .. . it. At least for the time being.
choxorn Nov 25, 2008, 07:09 PM I would imagine he's banned at the moment.
Gogf Nov 25, 2008, 07:13 PM My friend since I was like 5 years old is abandoning me because I'm a nerd and he wants to be cool/get a girlfriend. That makes me mad.
He's a tool.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 25, 2008, 07:23 PM I would imagine he's banned at the moment.
His avatar's still there. :dunno:
silver 2039 Nov 25, 2008, 07:56 PM His avatar's still there.
His signature is gone though. Trust me on this, the signature disappears when someone is banned.
Hygro Nov 25, 2008, 08:07 PM But I'm ugly. I have lots of teh pimples...
tell your parents to get you to a dermatologist asap. The only reason your peers don't have pimples is because they use (mostly prescription) medication.
Narz Nov 25, 2008, 08:10 PM My friend since I was like 5 years old is abandoning me because I'm a nerd and he wants to be cool/get a girlfriend. That makes me mad.
He's a tool.
I missed this. Yeah, he's the worst type of human being. Mofos with no loyalty deserve no love. Let him come crawling back to you when he's failed (or found a girl who has as much loyalty to him as he does to you).

Synsensa Nov 25, 2008, 09:07 PM But I'm ugly. I have lots of teh pimples...
I used to think that.
Then I got a girlfriend.
So much for what I thought ;)
choxorn Nov 25, 2008, 09:09 PM Don't worry, there are no government agents here. I know this because
Government Agent: Nothing to see here, gentlemen. Please look directly into this light.
Ah! They're everywhere!
No we're not. Stop imagining things.
No! I will tell the world of your evil plan to *MWAGHSYGA*

dwaxe Nov 25, 2008, 10:06 PM Why!?!?!? Why can't girls like chess geeks??? WHY?
Dawgphood001 Nov 25, 2008, 10:14 PM Yeah, I feel you. I'm *this* close to selling my plasma.

What's his method?
Dawgphood001 Nov 25, 2008, 10:50 PM I already have a job...
What's his method?
Gets stuff from people he knows that they don't want (Ipods, calculators, etc.) and hustles them over the e-web.
Narz Nov 25, 2008, 11:06 PM Why!?!?!? Why can't girls like chess geeks??? WHY?Hey, don't blame the game, baby. Girls don't like guys who self-identify as geeks, that's all.
Kozmos Nov 25, 2008, 11:25 PM Hey, don't blame the game, baby. Girls don't like guys who self-identify as geeks, that's all.
Depends. Some girls might be put off by it, others might like it. It all depends how many active brain cells she has really.
choxorn Nov 25, 2008, 11:41 PM Why can't anyone just wait a couple of minutes for me to finish something?
Nylan Nov 26, 2008, 12:33 AM Depends. Some girls might be put off by it, others might like it. It all depends how many active brain cells she has really.
I can speak from experience on this point. If it were not so, I would still be single.
And probably shunned.
JustinianVII Nov 26, 2008, 12:34 AM My friend since I was like 5 years old is abandoning me because I'm a nerd and he wants to be cool/get a girlfriend. That makes me mad.
I can relate to that. Had a best friend since 2nd grade or so...always hung out up through high school, but once he got into a frat in college, it's like I ceased to exist, like he's better than me because he's in a frat and has that rollicking social life and I don't have that. Always makes plans and promises, then blows them off last minute and never offers rescheduling or anything (and when he does, he decides to blow that off too), doesn't answer messages. Used to happen somewhat back in high school, but in college, it's so frequent that his "word" on any plan is worth nothing at all. Then, he can't imagine why the hell I get pissed off and call him on his BS, and apparently think's it kosher to keep doing what he does. If something doesn't involve his frat, his girlfriend, or getting drunk, it's not interesting to him. I'm about out of patience and ready to burn the bridge once and for all.
silver 2039 Nov 26, 2008, 12:37 AM Maybe you should stop being uptight and get drunk with him.
JustinianVII Nov 26, 2008, 12:44 AM Maybe you should stop being uptight and get drunk with him.
Difficult to do when he always reneges on plans.
Shylock Nov 26, 2008, 01:03 AM Depends. Some girls might be put off by it, others might like it. It all depends how many active brain cells she has really.
The latter kind already has a boyfriend. You can't win this game.
Annex Nov 26, 2008, 03:02 AM Why do I have to wait until the last minute to do something? Ive had all the time in the world during the past week in which to put together my resume, but I havent even started it! This may turn out badly
I rant that we will get a bunch of useless "I just want to subscribe" posts from people who don't realize you can subscribe to a thread without posting in it.
This looks like a subscription post to me :p
King of Town Nov 26, 2008, 04:53 AM A resume' is easy. Make up stuff, and then BS the interview. It got me the job I have now!
Eran of Arcadia Nov 26, 2008, 07:28 AM This looks like a subscription post to me :p

salty mud Nov 26, 2008, 12:41 PM I may have done something to jeapordize a future relationship, and possibly made me look a fool. Then again, it might have made things better. I just don't know anymore.

Nylan Nov 26, 2008, 01:32 PM I'm covered in chalk dust and my hands are bleeding.
I hate chalk dust.
Narz Nov 26, 2008, 03:00 PM Depends. Some girls might be put off by it, others might like it. It all depends how many active brain cells she has really.
Self-identifying as smart is a good thing, any girl worth anything will like it. Self-identifying as "a geek" is different. A woman want someone strong who can protect them, who's masculine, who's not timid or afraid. "A geek" (in my view" is not exactly most women's fantasy (that said, I know the word has morphed a bit since I grew up, maybe it has different connotations now).
Huayna Capac357 Nov 26, 2008, 03:00 PM I liked the Killer Angels so I read Gods and Generals and it sucked. It's awful.

Where's your theory now?!?!?!
Eran of Arcadia Nov 26, 2008, 04:41 PM Stupid Amtrak website won't let me see if my sister's train is on time or what . .

And yet you don't hate bleeding... :hmm:
Hi. I'm a girl. I like (some) guys who self-identify as geeks.

You choose to be identified by a picture of Mario: you're a fairly obvious outlier.

The chalk dust caused the bleeding. Hate the source, not the symptom.
LesCanadiens Nov 26, 2008, 08:49 PM I hate wikipedia. You remove obviously BS sources, and then some jerkoff with a political axe to grind accuses you of partisan "edit-warring," whatever the hell that means.
Zelig Nov 26, 2008, 09:05 PM I hate wikipedia. You remove obviously BS sources, and then some jerkoff with a political axe to grind accuses you of partisan "edit-warring," whatever the hell that means.
I'm impressed your IP hasn't been banned from wiki. :p
silver 2039 Nov 26, 2008, 09:07 PM Proxy server no doubt.
I rant that toilet paper sucks. Why do you people only have toilet paper to wipe your arse? Do you have any idea how disgusting and unhygenic it is? Can't you have a hand facet or a hose or something next to the toilet so you can actually clean your arse properly?
With toilet paper it leaves the smell of dried feces and its absolutely sickening.
LesCanadiens Nov 26, 2008, 09:07 PM I'm impressed your IP hasn't been banned from wiki. :p
No, but the IP for Vancouver General Hospital has. Thanks to me, hundreds of people can now no longer edit Wikipedia articles. I'm awesome like that.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 26, 2008, 09:12 PM I've never wanted to edit a wikipedia article before. To me it'd be like a homework assignment.
I rant that my watch ticks so loudly I can hear it all the way across the room whenever it's on a table or dresser or anything hard. I have to put it on the carpet floor or wrap it up in a sock or shirt to muffle it enough.
cubsfan6506 Nov 26, 2008, 09:30 PM I make only inor edits. I also rant that bigfoot won't share his inherently correct opinions with us over the wikipedia.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 26, 2008, 09:39 PM Somehow I think they'll get by without me. ;)
choxorn Nov 26, 2008, 10:01 PM I hate wikipedia. You remove obviously BS sources, and then some jerkoff with a political axe to grind accuses you of partisan "edit-warring," whatever the hell that means.
"Obviously BS"?
PlutonianEmpire Nov 26, 2008, 11:11 PM I hate it when people hate on children for no good reason (see: the 12 year old boy arrested for farting thread). In fact, I hate it when people do it for ANY reason.
cubsfan6506 Nov 26, 2008, 11:41 PM I tripped while carrying milk up the stairs.
azzaman333 Nov 27, 2008, 12:53 AM The weather was unexpectedly good for the past 4 days...
Yes, this is a rant, because I was down at the beach without suitable clothing for good weather...
King of Town Nov 27, 2008, 02:55 AM I woke up and the woman was just staring at me next to the bed...she is going to suffocate me with a pillow one of these days I have a feeling. So now I am up at 3 in the morning.
Mirc Nov 27, 2008, 05:13 AM I hate it when people hate on children for no good reason (see: the 12 year old boy arrested for farting thread). In fact, I hate it when people do it for ANY reason.
I hate parents who hit their children for no reason, even if it's just 3-4 slaps. Seriously, how #$%#^ up do you have to be to see that your child is accidentally tripping on some fallen leaves, to let him fall, and then slap him a little so that he doesn't fall the next time? :crazyeye: When I see that I feel like slapping their parents in return.... you can hit a helpless child but I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone taller and younger than you would hit you!
I'm not sure about the farting thread, since it seems we are not given all the details, but don't get me wrong, I can hate annoying little kids too. I don't like being around children <12 too much, because I just find them an annoyance after 1 minute, but their own parents hitting them for no reason pisses me off so much...

salty mud Nov 28, 2008, 02:13 AM I seem to have two girls fighting over me now. This is bad for numerous reasons. Firstly, I don't want girls fighting over me, but these two are best friends. I don't want them to possibly fall out over me. I'm only really interested in one of the girls, so I hope the other girl isn't being too serious, otherwise I could be letting her down pretty bad.

Dude guys dream of this type of situation. You're living the dream here. Milk it. Milk it for all its worth. And I mean that both figuratively and literally.
salty mud Nov 28, 2008, 04:42 AM Milk it? How do I milk it?
A threesome is out of the question.
Synsensa Nov 28, 2008, 06:28 AM Pick the girl you like the most. If the other one will no longer like you as a friend afterwards, it shows where her friendship actually lies...
In your pants.
VRWCAgent Nov 28, 2008, 06:57 AM I forgot to change up my fantasy football team ahead of Thursday's games!! I had McNabb on the bloody bench!

salty mud Nov 28, 2008, 07:05 AM Pick the girl you like the most. If the other one will no longer like you as a friend afterwards, it shows where her friendship actually lies...
In your pants.
The thing is, I met this girl only a few days ago, and she seems to believe I'm in love with her or something, when I said no such thing. The other girl (the good one :groucho:) seemed quite distressed at her friends behaviour. What's more, the girl I just met seems to have a thing for lying, so she might say something totally untrue in my absence and ruin everything... I wish I never actually met her now... :(

If the other girl believes her, she's not very reliable either.
Take your chances and take the one you like the best.
salty mud Nov 28, 2008, 07:24 AM I don't think she's unreliable... just doesn't want her friend to have me. :p I've known her a lot longer and I'm pretty sure we both like each other. Still... I'll put the other one straight. :)

They're playing mind games. Tell them all that you don't need that in your life and you're just going to let them all go their own way.
choxorn Nov 28, 2008, 12:50 PM Dude, just pick the good one and be done with it. :p
Bigfoot3814 Nov 28, 2008, 12:53 PM Yeah man you gotta be looking out for numbah 1 (that's you).

Bigfoot3814 Nov 28, 2008, 03:21 PM You're a complete goofball.

carmen510 Nov 28, 2008, 03:40 PM I regret I have perfect hearing, whenever my mom yells at me and her voice rings off my metallic table.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 28, 2008, 06:56 PM My dad broke his foot about 13 months ago. He's better but he still hurts and has to use a cane sometimes. I worry about him...
Narz Nov 28, 2008, 08:05 PM How'd that happen?
Bigfoot3814 Nov 28, 2008, 08:09 PM Bad sidewalk. He just plain tripped and fell right outside of where he works. The city fixed it up now but it was still having a lot of trouble for a long time.
Synsensa Nov 28, 2008, 09:02 PM He probably damaged something in his foot really badly :(
silver 2039 Nov 28, 2008, 09:03 PM There's a hard painful swollen lump in my armpit. Its either a swollen lymph node or cancer. Either way it sucks.
cubsfan6506 Nov 28, 2008, 09:14 PM I rant the pakistanis gave silver a bad bump.
EDIT: Crosspost.
LesCanadiens Nov 28, 2008, 09:16 PM There's a hard painful swollen lump in my armpit. Its either a swollen lymph node or cancer. Either way it sucks.
The obvious response is to nuke Pakistan.
silver 2039 Nov 28, 2008, 09:22 PM Damn right. I'm glad you two understand now. Pakistan is the root cause of all evil and all the world's problems.
PlutonianEmpire Nov 28, 2008, 09:33 PM No it's not. Money is.
:smug:
silver 2039 Nov 28, 2008, 09:34 PM Not it's not. Money is.
I just stuck Benjamin under my armpit and he reduced the lump significantly. Money is the cure of the problem.
choxorn Nov 28, 2008, 09:41 PM Is it a strange coincidince that I have the song "Lump" playing right now amidst all these posts about silver's lump, or is it something bigger? :shifty:

Its some sorted of convoluted Pakistani conspiracy no doubt.
cubsfan6506 Nov 28, 2008, 10:09 PM Are you Pakistani? Because if so it's something bigger.
Bigfoot3814 Nov 28, 2008, 10:13 PM He probably damaged something in his foot really badly :(
I kind of don't think so. I certainly hope not. He's had x-rays and all that, it's just that when you're an old man it's hard to come off stuff like that.
silver 2039 Nov 28, 2008, 10:24 PM Are you Pakistani? Because if so it's something bigger.
Yes. Aren't we all Pakistani today?
choxorn Nov 28, 2008, 10:58 PM I think he was talking to me, and no, I'm not Pakistani, check my location.

Synsensa Nov 29, 2008, 09:55 AM I kind of don't think so. I certainly hope not. He's had x-rays and all that, it's just that when you're an old man it's hard to come off stuff like that.
True, but 13 months is a bit pushing it though, even if you're old. I think he just reached the age where things heal too slowly and he must've damaged it to the point that it won't ever get fixed properly.
Then again, that can happen with young people too, most of the time when they don't let it heal properly. Words from a guy who knows that feeling :\

Evidently, he wanted to buy the tickets NOW. My sister, who's in college and hasn't been to India for...a while, prolly 6 years, gets all pissed off because winter break, when we're planning the trip, is her only vacation for the next school year, and she just wants to vegetate.

Martacus Dec 01, 2008, 04:28 PM What a rotten month. My wife injured her back late in October, so we've been going to the chiropractor twice a week all month, at $20 per visit. Then our stupid, stupid insurance company decided that it is only going to pay for half of my wife's antidepressant medication unless we go through a mail-order pharmacy; her psychiatrist is still trying to get that through his head when he makes out prescriptions. Our gas bill quadrupled this past month because the weather turned cold and our house has terribly inadequate insulation, several single-pane windows and poor seals around said windows and our POS front door. Nobody knows what to get me for Christmas because quite frankly I don't really care beyond getting new windows, doors, insulation, and siding. Thanksgiving was mixed; it started off all right--church was good, lunch at my wife's aunt/uncle/grandmother's house was good apart from her incredibly passive-aggressive aunt, but then dinner at my parents' house was awful. The food was fine, but my mom just can't handle these kinds of things anymore and spent the whole night . .. .. .. .. .ing and moaning and crabbing up a storm.
Then, to top off the whole month, I was cutting up an onion last night and sliced open my right thumb. We didn't have any bandages in the house (thought we did at first), and my wife doesn't drive. You can imagine the brouhaha that followed at the nearby Walgreens. I hope December is more forgiving than this cold, rainy November.
DragonHawk Dec 01, 2008, 04:42 PM I ordered a new 22" Acer on Newegg last night. To my surprise, the order was voided when I checked today. Contacted Newegg rep and they said nothing they could do for out of stock items.... And here I was boasting about the new monitor at work..

Martacus Dec 01, 2008, 08:07 PM how often do you comb your hair a day?
Generally my hair needs one combing per day for each month I let it go without a haircut--when it's short, I can get by with just the one in the morning. When my hair gets to be three months long, it needs combing about three times a day to keep it looking neat. It's annoying, but I haven't the time or money to get it cut every month, and would do an absolute hatchet job of cutting it myself were I to go that route. Twenty dollars every three months seems reasonable, though.

NESes are NOT forum games. You may join at any time for the majority of them. Currently, all the NESes save the Diplomacy, Testserver, and One Thousand Ways to Die are open. So you have no excuses.
Huayna Capac357 Dec 05, 2008, 08:35 PM But they are all like 40,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

West 36 Dec 05, 2008, 11:03 PM The song You, Me, and the Bourgeoisie, from the iPhone commercial, seemed like an odd title and looking into it I saw it did seem to take bring forward some issues and criticized the first world, as in we have all this stuff and its sad "plastic bottles... sweatshop labor" and that's all well and good, but then who's bright idea was it to use it in an iPhone commercial, and why would the band then sell it to them? Way to sell out before you're known.
and was it for the iPhone or the iTouch? . .. .. .. . it, they look the same, iDon't care.
Shylock Dec 06, 2008, 12:28 AM My brother has officially become insane, I think. If you hear any reports of a 12-year-old brutally stabbing people in a suburb of Seattle, and I'm not here, you'll kow it's him.
My sister is the same way. Before she went on meds she would threaten me with knives.
choxorn Dec 06, 2008, 12:56 AM My impulse told me it was an inside joke for NESers, but apparently I was off by a million miles!
Yeah, I believe that to be a reference to Jono's obsession with the "molten gold" thing in Good Wish/Bad Wish.
azzaman333 Dec 06, 2008, 01:25 AM Of the past 8 days, 4 of them were among the worst of my life to this point.
choxorn Dec 06, 2008, 01:47 AM Explain... :p
azzaman333 Dec 06, 2008, 01:52 AM Well, I was on holiday to celebrate the finishing of high school, and on the third day I was away, a bunch of people I knew but don't like decided to show up at the house til the 6th day. As a result, half of the week was spoilt, and because it was surrounded by 4 of the best days the 4 bad days were significantly worse (due to the missed potential)

It happens quite often, I think. Take for example the Rage Against the Machine song "No Shelter." It criticizes the entertainment and news industry, yet it gets included on that (relatively) new Godzilla movie which came out a decade ago. And it even has the line "Godzilla pure mutherf@#kin filler/ get your eyes off the real killer." Whether Rage sold out or were just playing the movie producers as fools, I dont know.

Well, that don't matter. But I really don't like to be mistaken for a NESer.
We NESers DO have inside jokes. This ain't a problem, just be more active in the NES forum (While We Wait is like the OT for NESers) ;)
Ooh, yeah, I rant about this! NES is allowed to have an Off-Topic thread but no other subforum is, why is this? Also, NESers are allowed to get away with flaming each other in said thread! Why is this?
(cue mass OT rush to the While We Wait thread)

thing is, its a general thread for discussing NESing related issues. (mostly things that come up in threads that are OT but still important are taken there, as an example) Note that as we have modern (present-day NESes), modern day politics can be a NESing issue. However, it gets moderated. and lots of people get warned etc for flaming. trust me, it is not gotten away with.

That's true, I think the producers heard "godzilla' and figured the song had to be on their album. That's assuming the song was made beforehand. But he message of the band, and that song in particular, has nothing to do with the film, so either Rage sold out in a really ironic way or were trying to get a message across somehow. IDK, they did it with the Matrix to, but that movie at least had a more to do with that thinking.
But back to my rant about that song in the iWhatever commercial: Grr.
How do businesses go about choosing songs for advertising, that's what I've got to find out.

Well the song came out at about the same time as the movie, so I guess the film producers thought "hey, its what the kids are listening to now, and it mentions our movie, lets use it"
As far as the Matrix, "Wake Up" at least had a similar message urging people dont just believe everything that you are presented with. Which at least sugests a little bit more thought was given.
As for Apple, in thier Mac vs. PC ads they are hip and cool while PC is boring and nerdy. I suspect they used that particular song for the same reasons, although I dont really know anything about that song, nor have I ever heard it outside an iPod commerical.
Cheezy the Wiz Dec 07, 2008, 12:48 AM I'm ready to beat my computer with something heavy and blunt.
I'm so tired of stupid crashes. All I wanted to do was check my Military Adviser so I could see my military broken down by unit type. What a time to crash, too; England built the UN a few turns ago, and even though I'm over the cultural number needed for a Culture Win, I have slightly less twice my next rival, England, has culture, so I've been in a race to build as many cultural buildings as I can...and so have they. The upside is that my empire is HUGE; I have nearly 50% of world population, and 10% of world area. Screw Cape Town to Cairo, my empire is Cape Town to Calcutta.
MagisterCultuum Dec 07, 2008, 01:31 AM I'm sick. Also, the ankle that I sprained a few weeks ago is hurting again, perhaps because of the cold weather.
I still haven't figured how how to do a single problem of my Statistics homework. (This time it only has 2 questions, but they are long multiple part ones.) Homework in that class is worth more than I thought it was, and because I haven't turned a lot of it in I'll likely end up failing the class despite above average test grades.
I don't think I'm ready for any of the 4 final exams I have this week.
JustinianVII Dec 07, 2008, 02:19 AM Last part of one class project due in 33 hours or so, and only a very rough idea of how I want to do it. And the thing has to be quite thorough and very specific, down to the last detail.
And sometimes it turns out even your very best efforts won't be enough. Negative aspect of a group project, I suppose. Not exactly a believer that either project will turn out great in the end.

Is it Civ4 or Civ3 ?
Before the patches Civ4 always crashed when I opened the military adviser.

Civ3. If you read carefully, you can see that he mentions that he is being prevented from winning by another civ having more than 50% of his total culture, which is only an issue in Civ 3.

Should probably ask Fifty where to find some good books on Philosophy.

Books cost money, unless I wish to acquire them from a library, in which case I must live with their impermanence and an inability to reference them quickly. All I have on me on the subject are all of Nietzsche's books and some commentary thereon; this is an inadequate basis for much of anything except Nietzsche scholarship.
