View Full Version : More Resources (Bananas, Coal, etc)
Elucidus Nov 30, 2008, 01:08 PM I have been scrounging the forums, mods, scenarios and everything trying to find more resources. I have a list of resources I would love to add to the game, by goal is a map loaded with resources on about 80% of the land. The battles are great fun this way.
There are map scripts that can help witht his, but they get broing after awhile so I wanted to see some differences instead of the same terrain and same resources. Doesn't anyone know where I can find them? Reskinning may be possible, and that was gonna be my next step but someone had to think of this before now. Please help.

Here is the list in alphbetical order, I know some of these are over the top and may be too much, but I want to see what i can get and then determine what I can use from there. I greatly appreciate your help
Amethyst, Quartz, Obsidian, (or any of the gems separated they are usually found in clusters as far as I know)
Any kind of Bean
Any sort of exotic metal
Buffalo which may server as cattle
Camels
Carbon
Cattle (I know there is cows, but like areskinned cow)
citrus fruit which we could use lemons for, but I was hoping for oranges or pinapple
Cocoa
Dates
Fruit / Fruits (different kinds or mixed together)
Game (to replace deer, maybe moose or emus or something different or a generic different one)
Hydrogen
Kelp
Lead
Lead
Lobster
Magnesium
Manganese
Medicinal Herbs
Mercury
Methane
Nickel
Octopus
Opals that don't look exactly like clams (no offense to who made them)
Paladium
Pipeweed
Platinum
Saltpeter

I’m compiling an index of what can be found on Civfanatics and links to those sources that I will be glad to share when it is done.
Dancing Hoskuld Oct 27, 2010, 01:41 AM Be aware that without changing the SDK there is a limit on the number or resources that work in game. It is 64. We discovered this in RoM which has 61 adding one more worked but adding more caused all the text fonts and little icons like health and happiness to get messed up.

Thank you for that info. I remember having seen that figure somewhere on the site but didn't save it at the time. Handy info to know as the number of resources I'd like see added to the game is large also and probably exceeds that number.
