Gabe Newell ate the Team Fortress 2 Update again, as much as I love playing Left 4 Dead, I'm patiently twiddling my thumbs for the next Team Fortress 2 Update, as well as the Meet the _____ video. I loved Meet the Sandwhich , and the Heavy Update was suprisingly good, but didn't Valve said they would be updating daily?

WHERE IS MY UPDATE VALVE? YOU SAID THERE WOULD BE UPDATES.

I've been vaguely wondering he same although if it is the engineer class next I think the longer the better.

It will come when it is done, but yeah I really wish they would update more quickly. Oh, and make pyros take less damage against each other, they are supposed to be fire-resistant!

Also this thread is rather pointless here (plus we have a thread on TF2 updates already).

I just hope the updates dont effect the minumum GHz requirements for HL2, It's episodic expansions, portal, and Garry's Mod.

The Team Fortress blog has already said it won't occur until 2009

How considerate of you. :p

I'd rather wait longer and have them get it right.

I'm still hoping that they make a "Meet the Spy" Video. He's my favorite character!

I don't mind if they take their time to release it, as long as they get it right.

An update is neither late nor early, but exactly on time

Credit goes to Johann :p

That's mine for my AAR's. Johan took "a patch is never early..." :mischief:

Gandalf is a quote-stealing bastard either way.

It can still take too damn long.

An update was just released today. Seems like it was broader than just a "Meet the X" type. Engineers and spies changed slightly.

Teleports and dispensers are now upgradable to level 3, (I think teleports are fine as it is and I hope the dispensers don't heal too fast (metal isn't bad as it is).

Also spies can pick up metal to recharge their cloak.

And some minor engine/graphic changes.

I quite like the achievement tracker. Lets you select a few achievements that will be displayed in the top right of your HUD so you can easily keep track of a few at once.

The dispenser upgrade, not sure about health, but it just gives you more metal (50 and then 60 instead of 40), although I think it depletes faster. The teleports double and then double again in speed, and are upgradeable from both ends.

Engies however tend to spend the first minute upgrading their teles when they shold be setting up, so don't worry about upgrading teles that much, focus on getting your dispenser and sentry set up.

Dispeners definately heal faster at higher levels.

And if a team has a lot of engis, one should definately upgrade the teles from the start. The less time running to the front line of battle, the less time the other team has to push forwards.

I've yet to try it, let alone play TF2. Just installed the files onto my desktop just today .

Sort of depends on the map as if the engineers are building in separate areas its probably more worthwhile to still build separate teleports. Not sure what the upgrade cost is yet though.
