I've noticed, I think both on this forum and others, people saying Zoo Tycoon was horrible. I only have the original one, and I don't have any problems with it, except for the hundreds of expansion packs that I don't need.

Why do people say this? Just wondering. It's a fun game, although I personally prefer "Wildlife Zoo" (made by a company called DreamCatcher) to it.

I borrowed it from a friend for a few weeks years ago, loved it.

The first Zoo Tycoon has two expansions, one to add dinosaurs and one to add marine animals. The second one is the one that has a lot of them.

the first one is the good one, the second is just eyecandy.........and not that good eyecandy....

To me Zoo Tycoon is just boring after rollar coaster tycoon. Limited Customization, Less intense not as holding, Every Map is the same, it's just less than RCT. The original one.

It's all about Transport Tycoon. No other game comes close.

I liked Zoo tycoon, mainly because i made insanely large zoos using the money cheat. Having dinosaurs in a zoo? Awesome. I also remember having like 100 ostriches in one exhibit one time.

Zoo Tycoon was awesome, when I was younger I played it all the time. I gave it to my sister.

I remember playing this, and was addicted for about one year. Then, I discovered the wonders of real strategy games.

From what I'm seeing in this thread, there aren't many people here who don't like Zoo Tycoon.

It's not that it's unliked so much as it's flawed, and so many other games of the exact same type that are better.
