I just brought CIV IV today and am trying to install the patches. It keeps saying no version of CIV 4 installed and update requires a previous version of the application be installed. I removed the game and reinstalled it and just can't get those patches. Does anyone have any idea of how I can get the patches installed on my computer. I don't know much about computers so any help would be appreciated.

Hi,im having the same problem as well as where to put mods :confused:

Well Kattzy I hope someone answers us so we can get on with our game. I have Civ 3 and like it better than Civ 4. It may be because I'm not famillar with Civ 4 yet. Thank you for posting a reply. It's good to know that I'm not the only one with this problem.

Just so you know, this isn't the Civ4 forum. It's the Colonization forum. You will have better luck in the Civ4 forum. :)
