As it was stated on the main page, it seems that this style was made to be soft on the eyes. Though, I happen to find that it, on the contrary, hurt the eye, because it's being much too luminous.
For the easy on eyes style, I would suggest either to use slighty darker colors.
Just some feedback :)

Akka, maybe the brightness setting of your monitor is too bright. ;)

I don't think so, considering how my friends always shout "HOW THE F*CK can you have such a dark screen !"
:D
In fact, the main thing that hurt my poor eyes in the pale white settings is the very light blue that is used for the main title area.
The SETI is, on the other hand, too dark, and hurt my eyes in the other way.
I just need something in-between ^^

The light blue text (light Cyan) on the darker headers is indeed a color clash, due to color wavelengths. Fortunately, it's not used too much, which minimizes the effect. I usually scroll right on past it right away. The edge contrast could be increased by a different color or shade combination. :)
