Just wondering...what happens when you get banned?

1. Does it stop you from browsing just the forum, or all of CFC?

2. If you TRY to browse the forum, does it give you a message, or allow you to view messages anyhow?

3. How do you block? Is it done on a name-by-name basis, or an IP basis? A dynamic IP would be very hard to ban, as it would change on a connection-to-connection basis.

1. You can browse CFC all you'd like, since guest is also an option.

2. If you try to post it puts up a message.

3. It is done by username but occasionaly IPs are banned. Generally the IP range is banned unless that affects too many people and needs to be narrowed a bit.

I still see DEFENSOR FIDEI once in a while on the active users list of the main page, even though he got banned like a million times.

When I would get banned, I would have a lot of time on my hands. ;)
Maybe my skills on playing Civ would improve though so it actually would be a good thing for me to get banned. :lol:

Hmm I think you won`t get banned forever until you did something very very stupid. Most of the time only for one or two weeks as far as I know.

Getting banned isn't fun our clever. I got banned and couldn't post my 'Governors Report' in the Demo Games :(

However i did go outside for once but the sunlight didn't agree with my night-dwelling skin.

Also DO NOT create a d/l as you will get caught. Dayan spammed the Civ1 forum and got perma banned. Then he created a new account as 'Dayan is Back' that is a good way to get you IP banned! :nono:

No, trust me, DEFENSOR is as banned as a guy can get.

Perma banned? Is that a special form of ban? No this is not spam message I really don't know. It's the newbie-bonus I read somewhere:

Perma-banned = PERMANENTLY BANNED, you never come back and have to face life at some other site......

Hey I just recognized the name Dayan. Is this the guy which created the Israel-scen and these wonderful looking units? I thought he is a respected person around here and many people including me (as I'm really an awful drawer the best I could do would be a stickman-unit anyone interested ;)?) admired him for his talent. Or do I mix something up now?

I know that some IPs can ban a whole bunch of people, like AOL users. :D

Every bit of penalty, banning, PCR, warning, ect, results in a us taking a part of your soul. When 1024 bytes of your sould have been taken, you become a rodwraith, total subject to the will of the holder of the master banning rod.

Wow. I'm impressed. Not because of your martial arts rank but because it's the same as mine except I'm Tae kwon do and Ju jitsu. I have various other ranks in 3 other styles too. I have practiced aikido as well but can barely stand it. I won't even start on my opinion of that style. It's almost as bad as Tae kwon do.

Tae kwon do isn't spelled with an e on the end btw.

Seriously it would actually be fun to spar with other members of Cfc, not just yourself. For fun of course as I don't want to hurt anyone or be hurt. If I ever find myself in new york and can find a free mat someplace it'd be good to see what some other forum browsers are made of.

PS: I've met many bad martial artists in my day and the worst come from Tae kwon do. Some are quite good but some. . .:eek: . how'd they get their black belt? Aikido tends to produce some very good black belts but until the last couple belts before black it is one of the least usable styles. Very disciplined and ceremonial but useless for a long time. I know this from experience as I tend to play with most aikido practioners at least until they reach around black. Then it's more interesting.[Shoot I said I wouldn't get into my opinion of aikdo. . .oh well]

That was my off topic rant on the martial arts. I think I'm going to start a off topic thread on it now that you've got me interested. If you or anyone wish to discuss more about that I'll do it there.
