For my part, I never said it was funny. I agree that it's not hilarious, but it is a decent enough effort, and in a way it's like an audio AAR of Half-Life. I approve of AAR's :)

Yeah that surprised me too, as I'm pretty sure Gordon would have recognised shotgun shells, and where there are shells, there is a shotgun. He didn't earn that degree in Theoretical Physics for nothing. But I think maybe Ross Scott wasn't ready for Gordon to have a shotgun yet, and you get more chances to pick it up again later.

Well for those of you who didn't figure it out yet, yesterday was a joke for April Fool's Day. Everything I wrote was bogus. The series is not over, Episode 11 is in progress. While I do think people could get tired of the format, I'm never going to run out of things to say, though some episodes will be better than others. I also have no incentive to have a road trip across the USA. I have enough scars from bicycle accidents as it is without needing to add to the collection with a motorcycle.

I think more of you figured out the joke than last year, it was basically the same trick. Since the fanbase is larger, there were a lot more comments this time. Like before, I put all comments mentioning April Fool's or the date on hold, but they're all posted now if you want to look through them. Also like before, I saw some suggestions that I was making up some of the comments. I'm not, these are all you guys. The only comments I made were in my name and were discussing the motorcycle trip.

Right now my plans are to finish Episode 11 of FM and the website, then focus soley on the next CP episode without having to divide up my attention on different projects.

He got us there, much better than the Civ United Hoax of last year or two.

At least this time, Freeman picks up a shotty and expressed my frustration on that part of the level.

I suspect that it's just a liberty to tell the story better. It doesn't really make much sense that Gordon can't climb up there but the game mechanics don't allow it. In terms of doing it in game, he probably either turned the wall into a ladder or used noclip.

Its the use of the noclip along with god.

While I don't doubt he uses god mode, I don't think it helped him climb up the wall.

IIRC, the guy doing Freeman's Mind had issues when recording in a Goldsrc (Which is why he is doing the segment in Half Life: Source instead of the Goldsrc version). So I doubt he'd do Blue Shift or Opposing Forces.

Well, I'm a bit more of a strategy gamer myself, but I've just never put together the time to hunt down a copy of the game.

Just buy it on Steam during a Steam sale, it isn't a very large game. I recommend getting the Half-Life 1 Anthology pack as it has Greabox's two expansions Opposing Force and Blue Shift, and TF2 classic.
