View Full Version : Sample Games

First of all, I realize there is a sticky sample game directory. I love reading through some of those, especially the ALC. I have also played along with some LHC and Noble's club games. But what I'm looking for, are sample games that actually have saves throughout different points of the game for me to pull up and look at.

I'm really interested in seeing some of the finer points that often don't get discussed. I'd like to see what someone is doing with a 2 fish, 2 land, almost all sea tile after caste is abandoned, things like this.

Oh and while I'm on the topic....when I load up games such as nobles or LHC or whatever, where should I save them to so I can open them in civ? The pain in the butt way I've been doing it so far is just double clicking on the game after it's downloaded, and it will open up my civ for me and take me to the game. I'd rather be able to open it as a saved game or scenario or whatever.

Any help appreciated!

A lot of the old immortal university games post saves. I'll try to be better about it in the future.

Just save it to wherever your other savegames are. If you're using Windows then they probably go to My Documents/My Games/Firaxis/BtS/saves or something like that depending on where you installed the game. Otherwise just save it in a new folder somewhere, load up civ and go 'load game'.

Thanks guys! I know I probably could have figured out where to save the games to...but why think when I can just ask the forum?!?

Oh, and btw, right after I posted this I found a TMIT save from 1000AD in a Sury game. Exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Thanks!
