Well, the pensions seem to have been sacked in favor of everyone having 100 gold.

I'd like to spend my first five gold here for a rule consultation.

Can current office holders run in two elections in term one?

All right, now how are we keeping track of how much gold we have? We need an RPG for Dummies thread.

In an effort to increase distribution, AP&N is offering two specials for its irregular newsletter Behind the Bench.

Offer #1: The first edition of the newsletter is being offered free. Pick up a copy here (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads2/BehindTheBench1.zip). This issue does not have password protection.

Offer #2: Prepay a retainer for 3 terms and get Behind the Bench free for all 3 terms. That's a savings of over 100g!

Behind the Bench is an irregularly published newsletter with a minimum distribution of 2 newsletters per term. Regular cost for subscription is 35g per term. The newsletter is developed and distributed in MS Word format and uploaded to the civfanatics uploads section. Each issue is password protected. Subscribers will be PM'd a link to the newsletter file and the password as each issue is uploaded.

Subscribers agree not to distribute the newsletter or it contents, in whole or in part or to divulge the issue password.

My first advice for Die Fanatischen Zeiten is to refigure your profits. You are a services company so retain 80% of your earnings.

Would you like Apro, Poe & Nuffin to handle your business startup? As we are on your retainer you will receive a 10% discount putting the total bill at 90g.

I'd rather pay the 150 retainer now. That way if I end up losing all my gold in land speculation or a poker game. I'll still have a lawyer. ;) Besides, you saved me 20% which is about 300 gold already! If you do the business start-up for me what do I get for the 90 gold? I'm a bit fuzzy on that...

Very well, I'll happily take your money. ;) Prepaying also gets you 3 terms of Behind the Bench.

The business start up consultation includes absolutely everything from conception through opening the doors. We give help with business concept and price list normalization then handle "filling out the forms" and all of the submissions and wrangling with the Price Manager. We handle getting a bank loan for you, if needed. We set up your profit schedule. We post the business startup for the Revenue Association and also handle officially registering the business.

You've already handled much of this as your business concept and pricing is complete, you won't need a loan (first business), and we already corrected your profit schedule. Having us do your startup would still save you from the bureaucracy, which is the most difficult part of a startup.

AP&N is happy to announce the formation of YN&A Limited, an office of AP&N devoted exclusively to polls. This has allowed us to increase our polling services to include actual crafting of polls in addition to the consultations previously offered. Even better, we are offering this expanded service at no increase in price.
Need help determining what should be in your poll?
Want to make sure that poll is perfectly formed and formatted?
Is you poll worded correctly, unambiguously and without prejudice?
Let YN&A help you with these and any other poll concerns.

Contract rate will be 30g net per turn chat. This contract shall provide for all listed services, less rule shepherding, at no additional cost. Rule shepherding will still be available with a 10% retained services discount.

Contract proceeds will be shared with partners, should any be acquired, on an equal basis.

This contract will expire at the end of Term 2, at which time it may be renegotiated or terminated by either party without cause. The contract may be terminated at any time upon agreement of both parties.

This contract is effective beginning with today's turn chat.

Apro, Poe and Nuffin will pay 50g for articles published in Behind the Bench. Articles may be on any legal topic.

Submissions should be sent to Shaitan (http://forums.civfanatics.com/private.php?s=&action=newmessage&userid=6979), editor in chief of the newsletter.

(Hey, my 300th post! About time.)
Articles should be as long as they need to be. ;)

In other words, no fixed length requirements. If an article is much too large (it is only a newsletter after all) it will be broken into sections. In that case the 50g would be paid for each newsletter it appears in. If it is very tiny it might serve as an anecdote piece and a price could be worked out for that (probably 25g).

Do you want a single term (35g) or would you like to take advantage of the retainer plus subscription package? That's 3 terms of retainer plus 3 terms of the newsletter for 150g. (Quite a bargain - it's over 100g less than the two purchased separately.)

Actually, I'm working on it right now. I'll have your preliminaries done and ready to post as soon as you okay the fee.

Apro, Poe & Nuffin will go through every stalled business thread that has been posted. Stalled businesses are those that were posted as a thread but never taken through the startup procedure. The original thread post will be accepted as verification that the poster wants that business as their first free business. In the case of a poster with multiple threads the first will be accepted and later ones ignored. Each of these identified businesses will be taken completely through the startup process through registration with AP&N acting with power of attorney.

An announcement to this effect is being made today and the startup program will begin on Friday afternoon. Players who really don't want that first business must post that they do not want it taken through startup and the thread will be closed.

Further, when a new RPG player comes in and innocently starts up a business with no clue what they're doing, AP&N will take them through the process to get their business going smoothly and legally.

AP&N will charge 90g per startup to the government (RPG Game Management). This contract will be in effect through the end of Term 2. After that the contract may be renegotiated or cancelled by either party without cause. The contract may be cancelled at an earlier date with the agreement of both parties.

This contract was agreed to via PM and is currently in effect.

As I am leaving the forum for a while, I wish to engage the services of AP&N and B&P to promote and push through two concepts.
The first is Depudy Governor. This is currently at discussion stage and may need some investment. I would prefer that the final proposal was one of appointed depudies, but this is a secondary concern to the motion passing.

The second is the PR department. This is at poll stage but is stalling. It may need leagl support and will DEFINATELY need some promotion.

I don't mind what it costs, just get it done.
I hereby authorise Shaitan and Danke to acess my personal cash reserves (that should build up during my absence!) to withdraw whatever payment they see fit (how's that for trust).

Dateline, Bavaria...Apro, Poe & Nuffin announces the elimination of their accounting services branch. A statement from the company founder follows...

I am eliminating accounting services at AP&N and will no longer be handling the Bank of Fanatika transactions.

Accounting services were added as a stopgap measure to assist the Bank and are no longer necessary. As accounting services do not fit into the overall legal nature of this business, they are being dropped.

I am now starting a private company, The Bank of Valhalla, which will provide full accounting services including complete tracking of Bank of Fanatika accounts for citizens and businesses.

Existing accounting agreements such as the "Run Your Business" program will be transfered to the new company.

I am here to inquire about the services AP&N might offer in regards to locating and securing the assets of one Neutral Leader. As dicussed in this post,(EDIT: see below) NL has left the game and relinquished his property. Apparently, I was the only person to receive property from NL.

Please see what AP&N can do and get back to me, OK?

The missing issue from Term 2 will come out soon. Presidential duties took priority over the newsletter.

There will likely be no issues in Term 3. People who have a subscription for term 3 will have their subscriptions extended a term if this is so.

I am handling the startup for 40's business. However this is going to be a massive and complex business, and just getting it all organized is a job! I would like you to go over what we get and then finalize it and post it to the price manager.

It is his first business BTW.
