This group recognises that:

No other nation can be trusted. Even those who seem to be our friends are most likely ploting behind our backs. Though it may, from time to time, be in our interest to engage in friendly relations, we must never loose sight of the fact that other nations desire our land, resources, gold and the labour of our people as slaves.

The only way to counter this threat is by a strong standing millitary and superior millitary technology. Thus, millitary production and research should proceed other advances wherever possible. Only by being ahead of all other nations millitarialy can we achieve victory.

Information is power, and to this end we must obtain intelligence on friends and enemies alike. Should they attempt to hide the workings of their nations, they are suspect, and should they declare war because of our quest for information, then so be it.

Our borders should be secured by garrisoned units to provide early warning of an attack and to repel such an attack. Garrisons should include offensive and bombarding units as well as defensive units. Also, our border cities should contain defensive units to repel any attack that breaks the border defences. No city should EVER be left undefended, even in our heartland.

A road system provides the best means by which any part of our empire can be defended quickly. All cities should be linked to this network.

Maritime technology would allow us to control those coastal areas by which an attack could be launched upon us. We must strive to build ships so that these waters may be defended.

This group will lobby the Millitary Department and the FA Department to these ends.

Myself personally, or a joining of the groups? I don't really visit Apolyton that much anymore, and my username is quite different over there. I think it is Anti-Encomuim...Anyway, I will check it out when I get a chance.

I encourage all members to remind our government that our neighbors, particularly the Aztecs and Japanese, cannot be trusted, and should be kept at arms length.

The headquarters for the Fanatikan Hawks has been constructed on the tile due east of Bavaria. The Army Surplus Store has also been moved to this location. All members of the Hawk's will receive a 10% discount at the Army Surplus store. Also, it is my intent to expand and fortify this headquarters, and this is a costly endeavor. Any donations from members would be most welcome.

Our government seems to be losing sight of it's military goals. Construction of granaries and temples has replaced the training of troops for defense and offense. I ask all members to lobby the government, so that we may focus on our military. Temples and granaries do no good if we are not alive to use them.

I'll join. I'm not sure about always putting millitary research 1st but i agree that no-one can be trusted.

I tend to agree. If we manage to build the great library, we do not have to worry about researching anything for quite some time, and can focus entirely on crushing our neighbors.
