AJ's can provide you with a bodyguard that is guaranteed to save your life, limb and gold.

Current rates are:
For travel between cities - 20g + 5g per map square
For travel into the wild - 25g + 5g per map square (out and back)
For in-city protection - negotiated on the basis of who is trying to get at you.
You can hire a horse from us for 5g per map square.

Food, medical care and camping gear are ALL provided in the overall cost. The only thing you need is your own clothing.

Mercinaries can be hired when I find some.

It takes about 200 gold to deck yourself out with all the things you would need to protect yourself and provide medical kits. So why bother when you can get a body guard to travel with you? It's cheaper AND it's safer and we'll always have the best gear available.

the - means we are currently running at a loss because we haven't yet had any custom.
This budget is for the group, not any individuals. It is a pool of maney used to but extra horses and slaves and things of that sort that any member can use.
For example, we have currently purchased two horses, one pack horse and one strong horse, for 40g each. Thus our budget is negitive 80 gold (-80g). Also, we are paying 13gpt for advertising and the like.
When we get some work, each member contributes 20% of earning to the fund.

The bensfit of being part of a group like this, rather than going it alone, is that you need only have gear for yourself and borrow horses for passengers. Plus we draw in clients through advertising.

i will become a customer when we have 2 cities i will leave the capital at once we have another city, so reserve a bodyguard for me.

AJ, can you come up with a standard warrior and spearman package? I want to float a government contract idea where you would provide 'government' services and the gov't would pay you for every warrior/spearman produced in our newly upcoming cities. The package should include a level of training/weapons, etc. Don't bother to figure a cost, as we'll need to negotiate that.

For you EA, extra special price. Just 10g gear hire and 10g bodyguard hire per day for a minimum of four days. Anything over 10 days is free of charge. And that's cutting my own throat.

Great! let's see...it'll be the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th. That is what? 5 days. So that is ..50g per bodyguard plus 10g for gear, is that gear for the group or each? hmmm...better make it 6 days. That'll be...60 g per bodyguard plus the gear - 70 g. Deal!
