Do you see my objectives list in my first post?
Find out who stands where in the Council.
Make sure we have those dogs. We might.
Of course, pm the master to vote on that proposal.
Clean the Temple. SAAM left out his penquin toys again.

After that I will think about your master status. (If you can do that, it would be a great help to the Council)

Now let me show you how to sense things from afar.

I will join the order of the Jedi. I have always been intrigued by your mysterious ways and would like to join the Jedi. It is OK for me to keep all my current possesions, correct?

I apologise, Master Zarn.
/me picks up the Penguins
We can get the dogs cheap. And as ive stated, Im a governor.

Zarn
Jan 14, 2003, 06:33 PM
Of course you can join and jelp Plexus do the chores. I really need them done. I said it about a few posts back. Doing them will definately get the masters to think about you becoming a master. Now go and do chores. ;) Don't worry, we will train you, too.

naervod
Jan 14, 2003, 07:38 PM
OK, I will get to work right away on picking up Penguin stuff.

Hadrian II
Jan 15, 2003, 12:34 AM
Yes. I have registered, and also enlisted with the resistance. I would imagine some training is required.

Perhaps a master in the resistance can be involved in my training. As my father used to say, kill two indians with one arrow.

I previously led a secretive, nomadic life in the hills near Novgorod and the surrounding border country. I am an excellent hunter and marksman, and am skilled with a blade.

I look forward to my training.

Give your padawan a day warning through pm. If he doesn't respond or says no, then you got yourself a new padawan.

SKILORD

SKILORD bows solemnly and leaves.

Well, the cleaning of the temple is done, anything else, sir?

Zarn
Jan 17, 2003, 02:16 PM
A census on all the Jedi, of course. Other padawans, if there are any, may help you if you wish.

SKILORD
Jan 17, 2003, 03:06 PM
naevrod: help him if he will let you. This will either fill your free time until you get a master or be your first task for me, if TNG hasn't spoken by tonight.

Zarn
Jan 17, 2003, 06:30 PM
Question to all Jedi:
Since there is no police force to arrest people, should the Council become Fanatika's police force?

We can't let people like Trader/ Warrior get away.

Any Jedi that has a problem, please report it to me. All Masters and Padawans w/o a master or padawan, report to me.

Stuck_as_a_Mac
Jan 17, 2003, 06:32 PM
@ Zarn: yes to cops and im w/o a padwan

SKILORD
Jan 17, 2003, 06:47 PM
TNG has failed to reply.

Neavrod: If Plexus will let you, assist him in the census of Jedi. This is your first task as my padawan.

You will have Two more if he allows you to assist.

I think the Jedi Police force is a good idea.

I know, but leaving is considered missing. We have alot less masters than I thought. Since there is only four masters and half of it is 2, then you have all the votes you need. Consider yourself promoted. to master status. Congrats.

You guys never voted on my proposal by January 11th. :)

Zarn
Jan 18, 2003, 03:18 PM
I am trying to get the Council back on track. I modified the arrangement, so look at the first post. Right now we have about two padawan's per master. Some of these people may not be trained, because they may have forgotten about the Council. So masters must pm them. A non-response or a negative response after 48 hours means that you report it to me. Remember masters may put up padawans to be tried at any time.

If you see an error, let me know.

May the Force be with you.

edit: P.S. Do you guys think I should run for an office for next month? If so, which one? If not, than I appreciate your honesty.

We ar at war with some undead and unruly 'creatures.' They probally have bitten former master, disorganizer. So we must do something to change him back. Even if it means we have to hurt him. I'm sorry, but that is what it may boil down to. I know someone or something got to him, and I think it is a vampire. We must storm the fortification. We have no time to waste. So, let's make haste. May the Force be with you. Any questions, before the meeting is ajourned?

CivGeneral
Jan 27, 2003, 02:35 PM
Grand Admiral CivGeneral rides into the temple grounds. CivGeneral then dismounts his stead and walks into the temple

CivGeneral: I have recived your message, Grandmaster is also planning to whipe them out. I suggest that we meat with Grandmaster to discuss invading the temple

Zarn: I did not know that Grandmaster is going to attack Dis, Come Master CivGeneral. We have to discuss plans with Grandmaster.

Zarn
Jan 27, 2003, 03:02 PM
Grandmaster reported that he has tried to rescue dis. Apparently, he says that dis wants to remain an undead being. It is truly sad. We must think of something. We cannot let this happen. We are runnig out of time.

Grandmaster
Jan 27, 2003, 03:16 PM
Zarn, I'm not sure that "showing him the error of his ways" and "razing Tsort Castle" are the same as rescuing him, but what the heck, why not? I'm out of ideas, and my previous attempts have failed. And now an organized military strike is impossible because personal militias have been outlawed in favor of a nationalized Army. Any thoughts?

Zarn
Jan 27, 2003, 03:20 PM
Jedi are still allowed to wield lightsabers. You can't take away a religious item. If only, we can convince the nobles to allow the Council to be the police force. Then, we can go in with whatever we want. However, the nobility didn't seem to favor it before.

Grandmaster
Jan 27, 2003, 03:23 PM
Right, what I was saying is that I can't use the Vanirian Militia to attack Tsort Castle, as I would have done originally, because they have been disbanded and taken into the Regular Army. Also, if/when you go into Tsort Castle, be careful. One of Disorganizer's servants came into the FWS and inquired about my land mines.... he didn't buy any yet though, so its safe for now.

Zarn, I read your message to Disorganiser.

Dis, this is an outrage. Consider yourself an enemy of the Council. I will have none of this in Fanatika. The undead and 'creatues' are unrightous. The Council declares war upon you!!!

I'm here to point out that Tsort castle is located on Lancrean soil. No foreign troops are allowed to enter Lancre without permission of the Prince of Lancre, sir Padma.

I see that sir Plexus is also member of the Jedi council. What Sir Plexus does on Lancrean soil is his own responsibility of course, since he is a Lancrean nobleman.

Padma
Jan 28, 2003, 01:25 PM
I wish to add my weight to Sir Shabbaman's post.

Tsort Castle is on Lancrean soil. Indeed, it is situated on my personal holdings. I do not desire "foreign" soldiers running around my countryside without my consent, even if they are Jedi.

My taking action in this matter has been put on hold, as I have been much concerned with the matters in Vanir and Denver. Sir Disorganizer is currently contained, and keeps himself to the Tsort grounds. Besides, it appears that he and his "companions" may simply be suffering the effects of poisonous fumes. See here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=735809#post735809). Further investigation into this is necessary.

Zarn
Jan 28, 2003, 01:49 PM
If we become officers of the law with a warrant for his capture, would you let us through? I told Forty about it. He may let us do so. Dis is still under a vampiric spell or something. It is very dark, not just clouded. This is something that cannot be let go. I hope you relize what you are protecting.

Padma
Jan 28, 2003, 02:10 PM
If you become officers of the law, and have a warrant for his capture, I will have little choice but to honor a request for entry.

And yes, I realize what dis thinks he has become. I have only stayed my own hand out of respect for the noble man he once was, and out of a hope that he has not truly turned to evil, but is instead suffering from some outside influence. As a wise man once said, "Deserves death! I daresay he does! Many who live deserve death. Many who die deserve life! Can you give it to them? Then do not be so quick to deal death as punishment."

Written by Brother Fox and Sister Dana of the Spiritualists...

Greetings to the most venerable and noble Order of the Jedi. We have heard that you plan to war with Disorganizer and the Denizens of Tsort Castle. As recent visitors to that edifice, we would like to offer our opinions.

Brother Fox still maintains that Disorganizer and the people within that castle have underwent a fundimental change. He believes that they are indeed vampires. However, not all of them display the characteristics of the evil creatures of the night we have read about in The Book of Spiritualism . Indeed, while some were driven by the need to drink the blood of the innocent, others, Disorganizer included, display their original nobility and desire to do no harm. Such people do not deserve to be exterminated.

Sister Dana on the other hand believes that the people of Tsort Castle are suffering under a group delusion, possibly caused by terrible stress or by a chemical agent. She is of the opinion that they are simply in need of treatment, and they can be saved. Like Brother Fox, she doesn't believe that they are deserving of death.

If you do attack the Castle, please try to remember that the Spiritualists owe a lot to Disorganiser. He helped to free our captive Brother Adam and Sister Eve. Also, he was once a very important leader in Fanatika, serving the people for many years before he left on his pilgrimage. Please bear this in mind.

May the Spirits guide you in this matter.

I know. See my post. Dis ios still under a spell. He might be a decent being now, but the evil ones will get to him. I said we might have to hurt him, if he turns to evil. lright, I give him one chance to stay in the Council, until a cure is found or we do away with the one that did this to him. If he doesn't then I plan on keeping him in the Temple through capture. Of course, two jedi will stand guard. We can't let dis stay like that.

Perhaps we can exorcise the evil that is possessing him by poking him with hot irons? Or I hear gunpowder and rum make for a potent solution that cures madness... then again one can never be sure. But don't take my word for it. It's all just rumor. Sounds to me though that Lord Dis is under the influence of strong natural gases like those that affected the miners in Naerva. After all, Tsort is situated on top of massive salt mines.

I have herd stories about the noxious fumes that affected the miners on Naerva. Some how we might have to do a chemical anyalisis to see if it is the same gas that is effecting Tsort. If it is, I suggest we move Dis out of the area away from the Noxious gases.

Please allow me to reiterate my position.

Sir Plexus, as a member of Lancre, has free reign to travel throughout Lancre. Sir Grandmaster, as a longtime friend and ally, is welcome to visit whenever he desires.

However, please realize that the movement of military forces across my lands, without even an okay from me, and with the express intent of destroying structures on my property, will be considered a breach of my rights as a land-owner, and if I must, I will defend my lands. Failing that, I will see you all in court.

Lord Zarn,

Our wars against the vile Indians and the treacherous Babylonians are proceeding almost better than we could have hoped, and we are poised on the brink of a wondrous new era of prosperity and growth with the new technology at our fingertips and the prospects of a new form of government. Yet, these are still troublesome times for Fanatika.

Reports of terrorist activities within our borders and tales of creatures inhumane roaming the countryside have increased in frequency and can no longer be dismissed as random criminal acts and horror stories used to scare our children into behaving their elders.

Fanatika needs your help. Therefore, for the benefit of the empire, I hereby empower the Jedi Council to defend the empire from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, to report directly to the President on all matters related to national security.

As there can be no more trusted an individual than a fully trained Jedi, you will also serve as official envoys when negotiating with foreign powers. While serving in this capaciy, you will serve as our eyes and ears, so that we may never be caught by surprise again by any foreign power.

At home, the good and honest citizens of Fanatika will rely on you to protect them from the various threats that presently roam the countryside. We can no longer permit these so-called terrorists and undead creatures to terrorize the innocent people of this great land.

Please remember, though, that all efforts should be made to restore these people to productive members of society. After all, they are still citizens of the empire.

By royal decree, and as my final act as President, I hereby appoint the Jedi Council, and its knights, as Guardians of the Realm, Protectors of the Innocent, and official representatives for the President and his/her office.

Lord FortyJ
King of Fanatika

A small, black plague rat finds his way into the temple. A padawan notices this, and starts his pursuit. After a tedious cat and mouse game, in which both the jedi trainee and the rat show of their skills, the rat is captured. At that moment, the padawan notices the paper stuck in the rats private parts. "So that's why it was moving so odd," the padawan exclaims. He rushes to his master, leaving the rat behind in misery.

Zarn: What!

Padawan: I think there's a message for you, master.

The padawan tells his heroic tale of the pursuit of the rat.

Zarn: It seems sir Shabbaman finally found use for the Husbandry: exotic skill forced upon him by the late prince Shaitan! That must be a message from him, there's no other man in the whole of Fanatika who can train a rat like that! Let us now see what's in the message...

Message:GET US OUT OF HERE!

I would be glad to have the Church associated with such a prestigous religion.

Further, I would like to join the Order here in Fanatika, with the intention of establishing it over at Apolyton in the coming PtW Democracy Game. Of course, my avatar would have to come back to the light side, I'm thinking Yoda

Well, CT, I will see igf the majority wants to donate. Then I will take the highest number everyone approves of.

For example

Master 1: Yes 1000
Master 2: No -------
Master 3: Yes 500
Master 4: Yes 700
Master 5: Yes 700

Only one master would let 1000 gold be donated. 1/5 < 50%
Three masters would let 700 hundred be donated. 3/5 > 50%

700 would be donated.

I know it's weird, but I couldn't think of a better way. It comes out of the Council fund but private donation is also welcome. I personally am donating 500 and will add it to the Council amount plus any amount from other Jedi. We have to vote on the Council money, because it doesn't belong to just one individual.

My friends, the battle with the Sith has shown the Jedi Council's only weakness: your fighting force is antiquated. You cannot hold up on the modern battlefield against advanced enemies like the Sith. Therefore, I propose to you a deal that will (at substantial savings) restore your status as a peacekeeping force that can handle anything. There are 16 of you I believe. I am as such offering the following package deal on armaments that make you an unstoppable fighting machine that can take down the Sith and there Infantry. I offer:

(16) AR-4x Assault Rifles w/ Grenade Launcher attachment; these will give you superior personal firepower, assuring that you are never outgunned again.

(16) P-3 9mm Pistols; these are good for personal protection against Sith assassins and also for staring down a bad guy

(16) Fighting Knives; the perfect hand-to-hand weapon: lightweight, sharp, and strong

(2) MG-5 Machine Guns; for use as fire support, to spray the enemy full of lead in case a Jedi gets pinned down, or to pin down the enemy so the Jedi can move safely

(1) B-40 Bazooka; in case the Sith or other terrorists use tank, you can knock them out with anti-armor rockets

(1) Guncarrier Halftrack; a fast-moving armored vehicle to safely transport the Jedi to where they need to be, and provide fire support against large formations of enemies

(1) F-33 Fighter; a twin-engine heavy fighter to provide air recon, air support, and air defense over battlefields and over the temple (imagine what would happen in the Sith or anybody else tried to bomb the temple?)

All this for the great discount price of 3000g (a savings of 1120g!) It comes to less than 200g per Jedi! How can you not take this opportunity to re-establish yourselves as a formidable peacekeeping unit?

Zarn
Mar 30, 2003, 01:34 PM
No, I will not take a bribe form you. We do not need the equipment. The Jedi are developing our own tech to deal with things. Proposition vetoed before it is even set up.

Grandmaster
Mar 30, 2003, 01:45 PM
Dude, it wasn't a bribe... I don't care one way or another. I'm a businessman. I was trying to make a sale. If you don't want the weapons, it's fine by me. I'm just out to make a profit. ;)

I would like to announce that any Jedi interference in my troops' peacekeeping operation will be viewed as a decaration of war against Vanir, and will be responded to a per the Vanir Doctrine. This doctrine dictates that any entity that declares war against Vanir will be bombarded from the air to destroy its infrastructure and pin down its forces, and will then be crushed by overwhelming land power in the form of tanks and mounted infantry. Do not stick your nose where it does not belong, Zarn.

OOC: I don't really want to hurt you, as we are allied on all other matters. But I cannot take the rep hit of giving up because the Jedi Council told me to sit.

I know they are pushing the envoelope, but I can can talk to them. Why can't we try that first/

Zarn

Yes, you can have trials. i'll give you another blaster, if you aren'y promoted. You would get a blaster rifle, if you are promoted.

Can I become a padawan as well???

Zarn
Apr 07, 2003, 12:41 PM
Yes. CivGeneral doesn't have a padawan. Neither does Chieftess. You can ask one of them.

Sir John
Apr 07, 2003, 12:46 PM
ok. what do I do when I have become a padawan?? how do I become a master??

Zarn
Apr 07, 2003, 12:53 PM
You have to have CivGeneral or Chieftess train you. When being trained, you would be a padawan. If and once you pass the trials (It's a vote by the masters and approval by me), then you become a master.

Zarn
Apr 07, 2003, 01:21 PM
Well, Sir John. I don't think they would take you now. (Sir John just called the Council an aggressor in the Volcano thread. He thinks that the Jedi and allies have no business being there.)

Sir John
Apr 07, 2003, 01:54 PM
No thats not what I meant...
come one, I didnt call you an agressor anyway.. and I just said that I prefered that you wreent on my teretory, is that wrong??

Strider
Apr 07, 2003, 05:30 PM
Also.... Zarn... can I apply to become a master.... I've been a padawan for acouple thousand years now :)

Zarn
Apr 07, 2003, 05:40 PM
Yes, I have been waiting for you to ask. Council vote for Strider to become a mater. 48 hours to vote. I'll approve after that time, if he passes the trials.

naervod
Apr 07, 2003, 11:29 PM
Well if you're having a council vote to approve Strider, I may as well remind you that even after some chat-room begging, I still need one more vote to become a master in a vote that was started about a month (or maybe earlier) ago for me to become a master.

Zarn
Apr 07, 2003, 11:32 PM
A month is too long. You are promoted to master status. Congrats. There should have been a time limit.

Zarn
Apr 08, 2003, 08:03 PM
I formally ask Master Chieftess to train my son, Sky, in the Jedi arts. Please accept, Master Chieftess.

edit: OOC: He is 7 and thinks being a Jedi is only about fighting. He is a non- player character so to speak.

Chieftess
Apr 08, 2003, 08:24 PM
Yes, I shall be honored to train the son of a Jedi GrandMaster.

Sir John
Apr 09, 2003, 02:04 PM
@Zarn: Im not sure if you actually meant that Im out of the Jedi Council. If I am out of Jedi Council, my anger will grow inside me, and I will become the most powerfull Sith in the universe and I will focus all my forces on destrouing the Jedi Council.... This will ofcourse not happen if Im accsepted in the Jedi Council... Am I in or not?

Zarn
Apr 09, 2003, 02:25 PM
As long as you do not show anger (well you can release it all on a punching bag), you can stay. That is only if the other masters approve. Threats are not treated with respect. That is something you should know.

Zarn, I approach you today not as the Prince of Vanir but as an individual. Many years ago, you stated that one can be both a Spiritualist and a Jedi. I have come to take you up on that offer. I wish to learn the ways of the Council, that I might beter serve Fanatika. Will you grant me this wish, Lord Master Zarn?

Zarn
Apr 09, 2003, 03:05 PM
Yes, you can, my friend. You have truly grown since you began as a Jedi. I see that you are fit to be a master of Jediism and a brother of Spiritualism. Welcome back, Master Grandmaster.

Grandmaster
Apr 09, 2003, 03:10 PM
I thank you, Lord Master. Tell me, in what way may I serve the Council so as to affirm my new loyalty?

Zarn

You have to do nothing. Spiritualists are to be trusted.

You want expulsion from the isle, Stuck? I can give you 48- 72 hours on that one.

Once you are a master, you may. You aren't a padawan yet. It might go into next demogame, but I will allow all padawans a free 'upgrade' to becoming masters at the beginning. In the next game, Sky is the Lord Master. That is only if we get another one.:crazyeye:

I have seen it. I will give you four Jedi squads to find them. Take Sir John with you. You also have the two X-wing pilots that were at the island. Go. May the Force be with you.

edit: If you noticed, Jedi have blasters as well now.

Okay...
As offical trainer, i am voting on wether or not Sir John should be made to give back a tile to me and a tile to strider on the New Island. (see "Volcano Erupts")
These tiles were indeed claimed by Cupertania and Utopia, then taken over by a fleet of soccer players.
Should Sir John give them back?

The Temple Tour
After Returning from a Night tour of Bavaria, CivGeneral and Mara Jade has decided to head to the Jedi Temple. The Two walks into the Jedi Game Room where he showed here, The Jedi Chess game

Mara Jade: Quite an interesting game board you have

CivGeneral: Oh, that. That is just a Jedi Chess board.

Mara Jade: I have played a couple of Chess in the Academy. Can I try?

CivGeneral: This is a very unique kind of board. You have to use the Force to move the chess peice. Alow me to demonstrate.

CivGeneral waves his hand and a Pawn peice moves. Mara Jade looks at in an admasement

Mara Jade: Let me try

Mara Jade tries to do the same, but can only manage to move a Pawn peice 1/4th the way

Mara Jade: Oye, this is hard work

CivGeneral beguins to smile

CivGeneral: With a bit of Training, you could be a good Jedi

Mara Jade: The only force power I know of is the ability to sense what is going on in the dark

CivGeneral: Ill contact Zarn soon.

Mara Jade Kissed and Huged CivGeneral. CivGeneral starts to blush, Mara Jade

Mara Jade: See, I knew you had a crush on me. I can tell from the blushing.

CivGeneral: Yeah, I kinda do. Anyway, Hopefuly Zarn can find a Trainer that I can trust Training you.

Mara Jade: Sounds Reasonable

CivGeneral: Lets wait untill the morning and ask Zarn.

I dont think strider will care about wanting back a Tile since Im in his house.
BTW: how can you claim tiles I took from you, when you took all your tiles from the elves??? That isnt corect...

As I said in my post, I will not give up any Tiles in my land as it belongs to my people. The only reason I kept my self from talking more land is that I wanted my people in Tiburon City to have accsess to the water... Im not sure about this, But I think Strider Will support me if Im attacked by you, stuck, as I am a squire in his house. I repaet again; I will not give up my land...

Stuck_as_a_Mac
Apr 10, 2003, 06:06 AM
Elves took the chinese part. Cupertania, the fanatikan part. Utopia, the english part.
Also, John, I feel strider would help a friend for over 9 months, some one he bulit this RPG with, someone who tried to kick him out of science for himself then someone new.
Please return the tiles.

Sir John
Apr 10, 2003, 07:54 AM
The elves actually claimed all the land not just the chinese part.. So you did take something from them... I dont think Strider will support the one that attacks, but I maight be wrong. I will not give up the tiles as they belong to the people of Tiburòn City Wich is now a city on size 9. They support me in my actions of not giving away any land so I will contuniue to stand where I am now. If you attack me I will defend myself and my people. Take that as a warning, not as a threat... I would advise you to stay calm and not engage in hostile activitys. Ive said that I will not attack you and you should say the same so that we can live in peace. Once Again I say that giving up my peoples land is out of the question. It will not happen. Since Strider has not been hostile to me in any way, Im willing to share my land with him (not give it away), but I will not let you even tresspass over my boarders because of your hostile attitude. There was conflict in the begginig. some people fough some people. Some people took some and others took some other land. Respect the way the borders were put by Zarn the Jedi Master and make peace. If you attack me I will take some of your land and hold it untill you give up any war you might engage in. Please think of the people of Tiburon Island and stop this warmongering.
