I was also looking and found the Israeli version, and I didn't realize they'd heaped on all that extra plating, but for this one, please don't (besides, it would just make your work harder :D )

I'll be constantly returning here, so if you require anything else, or have any questions, I'll get back to you in a flash.

the model I´ve got look like this.

No reactive armour, correct, at least for what I need. You could always add it on to the unit as a sort of second version, a modernized type.

It's a picture of my cat on a moving day last summer. He was actually in a kennel when it was taken and he was most certainly NOT impressed :lol: But then again, he's rarely impressed.

the reactive is OFF then, but if we want another version later on, the plates are easy to put on, I´m doing them at same time just in case.... so if you change your mind it only takes a few minutes and they are ON..... see ya later....

Looking good, OmniMower! As for the details, I'll trust you to decide that. Your Centurion looks fantastic, though, so a similar amount would be my suggestion.

I thought I might give you some comments. the middle section, like Centurian, seems too low. According to the picture of the M60 above, the center section starts sloping about the same time as the track covers and out to about the same distance, but just slighter lower than the track covers. i can't see the back so I will have to investigate some more pics to compare.

Yeah, I know... the tank has its aircooling intake ontop of the chassi and its slopes slightly. Havent put it there yet thou. I dont know how much of this will show on the actuall unit graphix later, therefor the question about detailing....
The measurements I got is from a 1:48 scale plastic model I bought for this purpuse, so I hope its accurate.

Wow, I realy like the model so far, using a CAD program to make the model should give a very acurate reproduction (my own units do tend to look a little cartoonish cos of the very simple way my program makes shapes and a poor mesurement system (you can size the made objects to the rest of the mdel but you can not size the objects whiel you are forming them, because the free form editor is almost a seperate section to the rest of the program), Iusualy just have to make the unit and hope it comes out right.
I bet when it comes to animating you will run in to some difficulty though, most of the cheap solutions to 3d unit design have trouble in this area, if you run in to problems I will try to assist.

The main thing I was worried about by making units was the animation part, since I never done these things before.

it is already a 3D model but I show you the drawings instead of the solid one. You can better see if there are any flaws in it, and since I post the new image I found several of them.... I working on the model now and I hop to give you a new model in ...say 20 minutes...ok?

I think this is GREAT! How much are you able to round out the turret? Also, small thing, petty detail, etc, can you make the next update in green for me?

Its that thing that F***ing me off right now :lol: I can round the turret as much you want...but I´ve found several wrong things here.

- The turret is circular in the front.
- The slopes at the sides are defect, to deep (13.5 degrees i think it is now)
- Therefor the gun plate seem to big that it isnt...

Actually, there is one thing I can suggest: On the 3-D model there, the turret seems smooshed into the chassis. Maybe if you folded it in at the bottom a bit, it would look more seperated?

And I've attached a pic of a converted M-6OA1. Is that what you wanted for the wheels?

the m-60 where only painted olive green in the u.s. army, as for the other countries that bought them i don't know. We did have so painted desert color in desert storm that the marines used. yes the marines still use some because they wiegh less than the M1A2's. they are in the trans to a new amph. tank now.
