View Full Version : Should I rebuild or attack?

I just got China to capitulate to me, and I have a massive standing army ready to attack. I have the tech and military advantage over all my enemies. So with the given save, should I give my economy a bit of a rest before attacking the rest of the world or press the advantage and dive right into it after a brief time spent healing and rearming? War weariness was being a pain, getting to around -7 happiness.

For those of you who don't want to DL the save I am playing on Noble as Mehmed, my targets are both pleased with me (I only plan on killing one at a time), I have the most powerful military and the tech lead with 1 turn away from rifling; I'm pretty sure nobody else has gunpowder, and a vassal who will be of no help to me attacking. I also own the most land and the SoZ.

War weariness applies separately to each civ you fight against, so that should not be an issue if you attack.

You learn something new everyday. Thanks for that.

Yep, press the advantage and go for domination. When you start falling behind, then you need to worry 'bout rebuilding economy.

Attack AND rebuild. 1 to 2 unit pumps can keep the army reinforced and new cities garrisoned at a certain point when the war is swimming along. The rest can build their buildings as commerce cities or future unit pumps.
