I'm using art from Civ2 ToT for my Future mod, for static wonder movies, but I have to convert the bmp to DDS. I am using gimp with a dds plugin to do this, but want to economize on file size by using compression if it is available.

Does anyone know whic compression format would be best to use? Attached is a screenshot of the options being offered.

I know BC2/DXT3 will work, and that DXT1 will not...

Thank you, I tested that format and it works, approximately cutting size to 1/3. I was in such haste to test that I forgot to resize to 512 by 512 and found that I don't have to. Movies is so forgiving.
