View Full Version : Place the States Game Fr8monkey Jan 28, 2009, 11:37 PM http://jimspages.com/States.htm Give it a shot and see how accurate you are. Maniacal Jan 29, 2009, 12:04 AM 88% Oklahoma is a state? And I officially hate all those pointless tiny states on the east coast. SuperBeaverInc. Jan 29, 2009, 12:28 AM 100% 0 miles avg error 141 seconds Yeekim Jan 29, 2009, 06:47 AM 92%, average error 20 miles, time 314 seconds. potatokiosk Jan 29, 2009, 06:52 AM 98%, I messed up Iowa because they wanted me to place it before any of the states bordering it were up. Serutan Jan 29, 2009, 08:00 AM 96%, because Nevada showed up before California or Arizona. Maniacal Jan 29, 2009, 11:06 AM I started with Tenesse (sp?). That didn't get me off to a good start :P I also became overconfident on my 2nd try and accidentally dropped alaska off centered >_< Only got 80% then. Chukchi Husky Jan 29, 2009, 11:19 AM I got 96%, average error of 3 miles, time of 242 seconds. The only states I got wrong was Colorado (put it a bit too far north), and Vermont (put it too far west when aligning it with the border). Bartleby Jan 29, 2009, 11:32 AM 82% avg error 90 miles, 464 secs. I got some wrong due to accidentally dropping the states, though. (one of them missed the map ) Olav Jan 29, 2009, 11:55 AM 88%, 33 miles, 186 secs. Those rectangular states in the middle of nowhere messed up alot. :D Fr8monkey Jan 29, 2009, 12:04 PM Europe (http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/country_europe_G2_drag-drop.html) Africa (http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Africa/Africa_G2_1280_800.html) Central and South America (http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/South_America/SouthAmerica_G2_1280_800.html) asia (http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/country_Asia_G2_drag-drop.html) Others can be found here (http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm) Maniacal Jan 29, 2009, 12:45 PM 89% Europe (damn tiny dot countries, and Slovenia amd Moldovia.) Africa - 47% - Seychilles is a tiny never heard of island. Gambia is one of many strangely shaped weird shoudn't exist nations. And what the heck is C. A. R.? 85% on South America, but that's because it has fewer countries and I accidentally dropped El Salvador twice. 84% on Asia, not bad. Dropped Mongola accidentally, it, "migrated" south into china (again). http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Canadian_Geography.htm Canada! 100% on Capitals and Provinces, level 2 of course :) and I like how except for PEI, most of our provinces are larger than most countries. Thanks for the site :) EDIT: Ahh 41%! http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/middle-east_G8_drag-spin.html Irish Caesar Jan 29, 2009, 09:01 PM USA - 98% with an error of 1 mile (South Dakota first? not cool.) Europe - 100% with no error, although I think they gave you more of a tolerance. Africa - 92% with a 28 mile error. South America - 100%. Asia - 97% with a 7 mile avg. error, completely the fault of Brunei before Malaysia. Chieftess Jan 29, 2009, 10:07 PM 96% (South Dakota first? not cool.) Or Denver, or Wyoming. Almost hard to tell those states apart. Civfan333 Jan 29, 2009, 11:04 PM 90% for USA 85% for Europe 49% for Africa.....................why the hell, did I start with all the impossible ones, and end with South Africa, Somalia, Madagascar, Egypt, or Kenya? 95% for Central and South America 84% for Asia Aramazd Jan 29, 2009, 11:20 PM 98% 1 mile avg error. Got Wyoming first. Irish Caesar Jan 30, 2009, 09:01 PM Or Denver, or Wyoming. Almost hard to tell those states apart. They called it "Colorado" when I visited four and a half years ago. ;) Civfan333 Jan 31, 2009, 12:05 AM you never know, could've changed. Luckymoose Jan 31, 2009, 12:35 AM 88% cause the first states I got were in the middle of the mid west. carmen510 Jan 31, 2009, 01:48 PM 92%, Average Error 7 miles, 220 seconds. Frikkin' got Wyoming and Arkansas first... azzaman333 Feb 01, 2009, 07:35 AM 88%, not too bad. If any Americans got worse, you should be ashamed. carmen510 Feb 01, 2009, 01:46 PM Depends on whether you got all Midwest states first. :p azzaman333 Feb 01, 2009, 04:56 PM You should still be ashamed. King of Town Feb 05, 2009, 05:45 AM I got smoked on Africa and Asia. I thought I was better than that. I did better on south america than I did pon the US. Stupid South Dakota being first, how can anyone know which one is north and which one is south? Junzi Nicuzn Feb 05, 2009, 06:47 AM 94%, Avg Error 4 miles They want you to be pretty precise with this. Got Nebraska first, still managed to place it correctly.
