HUSch Jan 31, 2009, 08:21 AM 1. We 've a settler in CERN, where to found the next city? I need the location!
2. Production in CERN
for growing warrior or work-boat it's possible, but for the chop gain settler or worker?
Should the chopping gain (20 :hammers:) of Eup go to CERN or better to Peri?
The next (of Archi) will allways go to CERN.
If the next will go to CERN we 've there a worker in 2 turns, perhaps this is the best.
CERN
With worker/settler this turn +28 :hammers: + 20 :hammers:
next turn + 27 :hammers:
With warrior this turn we lost some :hammers: for :gold:, because the overflow is greater than 15 :hammers:.
with work-boat (for exploration the coast) we get this turn 20 :hammers: + 20 from the chopping.
3. Ana 2
4. Ari heals
5. The worker don't change.

DaveShack Jan 31, 2009, 09:52 AM I think we should settle at gems-8 (A). It has a better synergy with the banana location.
Can we settle on jungle without having iron working? I don't remember if it is needed to settle, or just to improve tiles.
HUSch Jan 31, 2009, 12:18 PM Dave
We can found a city without chop-possibility.
Tinkerbell Jan 31, 2009, 12:41 PM We can settle in jungle, just not remove jungle from other tiles.
DaveShack Jan 31, 2009, 05:08 PM cool, now we need some more votes
HUSch Feb 01, 2009, 12:13 AM I need votes for the production also.
Tinkerbell Feb 01, 2009, 03:51 AM Gems -> 8 looks fine for a new city.
Production: Let's grow to at least 3, so build a workboat, will come in handy later.
HUSch Feb 01, 2009, 05:05 AM I play now the clear moves: Settler, Ana 2, Ari heals again, Pyt2; the worker isn't clear for me. Please some votes.
HUSch Feb 01, 2009, 05:09 AM Hurray

Tinkerbell Feb 01, 2009, 05:13 AM Worker: A road to the new to build city.
Erpel Feb 01, 2009, 05:16 AM choppin gain to cern, if we produce a worker
if we want to grow, chopping gain to peri (from my point of view)
worker:
why should we need a road (trade route goes via river)?
HUSch Feb 01, 2009, 05:23 AM We don't have sailing today. Leo 'll build road the next turn at mines.
Hello Erpel nice to see you.
We need now communication ideas.
topas Feb 01, 2009, 07:47 AM 1. We 've a settler in CERN, where to found the next city?
I a bit undecided if gems-2 or gems-8 is better.
I lean towards gems-2, because the city is productive much faster and we can settle another great commerce-city at the river north of it.
2. Production in CERN -> build worker in CERN (with chop-yield)
3. Ana 2 -> horray! We got contact! ... but they are closer than expected...
4. Ari heals -> ok
5. The worker don't change.
Another possibility for optimizing MM would be:
- Eupalinos: stop chopping and start mining; CERN: grow fast with WB (for exploration or fish+pigs site)
- Eupalinos aborts mining and finishes his chop in the turn, in which Archimedes finishes his chop. In that turn we put both chops into a worker or settler in CERN.
-> This way we minimize the turns without growth in CERN and do not loose any worker turns.
HUSch Feb 01, 2009, 08:16 AM Topas, the idea with change the action of Eup is nice; I didn't know that's possible.
Then we build a work-boat without any chop-gain now and in the next a worker with the chop-gain of 2 forrests.
I 'll play in 3-4 hours, a few comments to the diplo to Cav will be good.
HUSch Feb 01, 2009, 11:23 AM I 'll play now and send this (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=7721713&postcount=3) per PM to Renata. Also I 've contact during the game with Oyzar (CaV) and we gave another the mail-accounts.
