When I try to start Civ 3, the first title picture shows up, then I get an error message saying "Civilization3 has caused an error in CIVILIZATION3.EXE. Civilization3 will now close. If you continue to experience problems try restarting your computer."

Well I tried restarting my computer, no good. I tried reinstalling and running the original version, then on the 1.21f patch then on the 1.29f patch, all to no avail. The startneg thing is It was working perfectly fine before the summer on the same computer and I had not uninstalled it prior to this problem.

I'm running a 800MHz Athlon with 256 MB RAM on Win ME.

Any Ideas?
