View Full Version : Is anybody interested in doing a 'mini' Demogame in PTW?

I've just looked through all this demogame stuff today and it looks interesting and I would like to participate. But I only play PTW and absolutely don't like C3C. I'm thinking I'll still participate in the chats and some discussion and such.

But I would be much more interested in doing a mini demogame type thing. It would be like 5 people or so, we can all IRC or AIM chat together, and one person would play the game and all the participants would decided the course of action equally. Maybe after a while we could switch the person playing the game.

No forum discussion needed, no polling needed, just 5 people playing the game as one person. I'm interested in learning about other people's playing styles and decisions.

I'm not trying to detract from the real demogame, and this could be moved to the general forum if needed, but this would be a fun way to learn new things and just talk actively to other civ players.

It's an interesting idea. For it to work it seems you'd need six people who are available at the same time. What time frame are you thinking about? This could also be done with one thread someplace in the team game or succession games forums.

I'll gladly play a PBEM, and don't worry about distracting from the real demogame, because inter-game-games are started all the time.

no, not like a pbem, like one person is controlling the game, but like 5 people are in a chat room deciding what actions should be taken. and then we could trade off who's playing every like 30 turns or something
