This is the Order of the Knights of Fanatikan.

I am CivGeneral, Grandmaster of the Fanatican Order :).
This for Term - 1 of the Citizen group The Order of the Kights of Fanatika (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30266) which is our Main office.
Our goal is to Expaind as muck as possible, even if it means aggresive war against an enemy. (I am also the Military Deputy for the Military Dep. so I have connections to the Military Leader ;) )

Short term goal: Explore the land around us and ceate as many settlers as possible to expand for the for the future of Fanatika

Long term Goal: Stake clame to as much land as possible, eather through war or negotiations.

From the results of the last turn chat 4000bc - 3650bc Turn Chat (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31180), We have made contact with the Aztecs.
Our Warrior spotted the Jaguar Warrior. It has taken a while with the debates on weather to contact them our selves or wait untill they contact us. Luckly we caught the Jaguar Warrior to say "Hi" before he ran off.

How could our strategy against the aztecs be? Any ideas for putting aggression on them? Which units would be best for attack?

(one thing, could you perform a spelling edit on the first post), as for the aztecs i say we wait and scout of the terrain, then if they pose a threat or have lands we need, well then we just take them (one less enemy to worry about later.

So which units would best suit their jaguars in your opinion?

well it is a uu, and since we have none, archers supported with spearmen, maybe swordsmen if we get iron (it is just a warrior with +1 movement if i remember, refresh if im wrong) (just checked civ3 site, i was right only + 1 movement) so yeah it is just a warrior which has a 2 movement which means they could surprise us now and again, but the spear and archers should handle it

I think, making an stack of archers large enough (also thinking in the treasure) to take what we need, some spearmans to use their defensive power aganinst the jaguar warriors. Take the cities we need and try to get more in a negotiation.
If we let them live, they can become enemys but also take they could take lands we need.

Sounds Good Leningrado :). Although the Military Leader has pushed forward his Archers and Warriors. I have mentioned the use of spearmen to Eklektikos and I hope the use of spearmen passes. (I rather use the spearmen for defending citties, The archers are good counters against the Jag Warrior ;) )

Thanks. I do think spearmas are the best defending units in the early era, as they have a defense power greater than any other unit. The attack to the aztecs, i think, has to be done, the only problem are the tactics we should use, and the size of the army we can afford. But, if we research Iron Working, the best option would be the swordsman.

i second you leningrado.... spearman with archers until we have swordmen.

so i urge all knights to push this forward in the discussion threads and lobby this campaign.

May I suggest that we quickly develope Iron Working, in the meantime building archers. Once we get Iron Working, we immediately switch to Swords. Judging from the terrain, its fairly safe to assume that we will have Iron. If we build Swordsmen, we won't have to worry about the combined-arms tactics neccessary in a Bow-Spear invasion, as the Swordsman has both superior offensive (3) and equal-to-spear defensive (2) capabilities. They should be able to easilly crush Jags and overcome spears. The only use of that extra movement point on the Jags will be to allow them to run in fear of our advancing wall of troops.

Good Idea Grandmaster :). The Science Dept. has placed Iron Working to be first researched. About the Swordmen, I can suggest that when the time comes (when we do get Iron Working and the Iron resource :) )

OK, it is great that the science departament helps us in the war.
I dindt expected that to hapen, but if we have iron, swordsman, will lick the aztecs, helping the with some spearmans.
The second thing to worry about is the treasure
I think that an scouting of the terrain and some new settling might help us with that

I wouldn't worry about gold too much. Once we sack the Aztecs and force them to the table, we'll however much gold we want.

yeah but we want to make sure we dont push them too far as for asking for gold, they might get to a point where they cant pay and its back to war, a war we might not be prepared for.....

I was thinking about something i think is a good idea, i dont know if the fanatikan order has a political party, so we can have somebody in the governement to help us

The problem is: We can lobby, but political parties are definitely not allowed. So we can not help someone in the elections by forcing our members to vote him for example, nor even ask them officially.
But of course, we could have supporters in the government. And of course we could try to take part in every discussion on a coresponding topic to lay out our arguments. And of course, nobody can prevent us to vote for our preferred government officials or people having the same ideas than we have.

Well, maybe we dont have to make an oficial party, but as an organization, choose our best people and help them in their campaign, not as a political party, but as a clean organization.

thats what we call "lobbying". but the borderline is narrow... for example the spice traders guild in our former live got into a problem when a pm was sent around begging people to vote for specific members of the stg ;-)
so of course we can support our knights, maybe they could even put their title in the application, but we will not be allowed to openly call our members to vote for them.

I said similar, not the same. This is a thread dedicated to militarism, the FNA is a group dedicated to nationalism and supremacy by ANY means, not just military power.

Yes, supremacy by any means, it means, guess what, all including from a cultural victory to a military victory. But anyways, what desorganizere says its true, its the same thing but with a different name, it has the same goals.

All nomnations can be set up in here and will be pmed to eyrei together with a list of the knights on the start of the official elections by the grandmaster of term1 or me.
The grandmaster or me posts the official start of the election with a list of nominees in here then and remembers all knights to pm their votes to eyrei.
Eyrei will receive all votes of the knights, and give us the result of the grandmaster election at the end of the month.
After that, the new grandmaster will open a term2 thread.

Ive been planing on Running for President :). I am not sure if Deputies can run for two offices since I am planning on running for both Military Leader or President :).

BTW I also accept the nomination for Grandmaster.

I think that Chieftess should run for culture. That makes me and Zarn both happy :)
