iv search the forum and maybe im searching the wrong words.but basicly i have Civ4 and im lost on how to actualy use my money to purchase buildins and units
or can you only create units and buildins by production.

so my real question is

How do i complete a production of a unit/building buy using money? cant seem to find buy/sell buildin/unit in the game

You need to have the right civic, Universal Sufferage I believe. I never use that ability myself so I'm not positive. I'd rather use what gold I have to keep my existing troops upgraded.

im a total noob first game on civ4 today. how do u upgrade units aswell? or is there auto upgrade? also not to sure how to change "civic"

On the top right of the normal screen are little tabs, these tabs let you access research screens, financial, espionage, civics, religion etc I think the civic screen is shown by a ring or a crown(?) I think the F1-9 keys will open the screens up too.

Upgrade will become obvious after your units are obsolete, a new block showing a pic of a new unit will appear under the units commands they are very expensive though, so its usually best to just replace them.

ah yes :) so if i change my civic to the correct one i can actualy purchase units :)

You can also upgrade all the the units of that type by pressing the Alt key while clicking on that picture. If you press Alt and roll-over the icon, it will tell you how much it will cost to do them all. You should be selective though since you probably won't have enough gold to do them all. Keep the ones that have a number of promotions, or useful ones that are no longer available, then replace the rest with the new units.
