Hello, I find the lack of SAM units in the download database quite disturbing, so I made a model for S-75 Dvina missil and launcher with Bryce, made a story board using SSB, applied a "civIII friendly" palette, and saved as PCX, but when I tried to convert the story board into FLC, flcster just crashes for some reason. Can anyone helpout?

I have attached the frames and the stroy board in BMP format, and a story board with palette applied.

1. Go back and redo the textures in Bryce on the missile. DO NOT EVER use reflective textures because it will blend in the background and the sky. It will mess things up completely for you.
2. I can tell from your PCX file you most certainly did not use a civ-friendly pallete. Watch this video where I explain how palletes work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9_Af5NQcmg
3. In Flicter, double check that you have the correct number of frames, and the correct size of the frame (that you ouputed from Bryce). From the Fidget storyboard it looks like 140x140 and 9 frames.

I have changed the colour of the missile.

There is nothing wrong with the palette, I extracted it from your MiG-21 model.

What's causing Flicster to crash seem to be borders. Whenever I have the borders selected for the new FXM, flicster crashes after I replace the blank pcx with the storyboard. When I deselected the borders for the new FXM, and removed the borders in the storyboard, flicster runs fine, to an extent, as although the animation looks fine when viewed in flicster, when exported to flc, the first frames of the first seven directions are duplicated at the end of the each of the directions, so the last seven frames of the last direction is cut out.

I have attached all the associated files.

Not in your original PCX file. Saying things like is not smart and in no way gets on my good side.

I don't know what the rest of the problems are with flicster. When I loaded it for the 1st time it said there animation time problem of 800. I have no idea how you managed that. After Flicster fixed the problem, I didn't see anything more that was wrong.
You could lower the shadow settings in Bryce, it looks very dark. Also, the more frames you use, the smoother the animation looks.

My bad, GIMP removes unused colours in a palette from the colour map as default, I didn't untick that box for the first pcx, so the colour map for the picture only contained the colours that appeared in the original picture.

I am unable to get Flicster to work, so I will just finish the frames, and upload them, anyone interested can animated them.

You'd better ask someone that uses GIMP. That may be the problem. I use Photoshop.
