View Full Version : vulture.dds - in VANILLA??? BTSformac Mar 08, 2009, 01:11 PM When looking through the assets.fpk's, I found a file titled "vulture.dds". IN VANILLA!!! I thought the vulture was added in bts. does anybody know if it is used? Flintlock1415 Mar 08, 2009, 01:28 PM It is just a button; I don't think they added a Vulture unit to Vanilla. BTSformac Mar 08, 2009, 02:02 PM still, it seems odd there is an unused unit button... BobTheTerrible Mar 08, 2009, 02:15 PM Firaxis originally announced 19 civs for vanilla, and one (Sumerian) was mysteriously dropped before release. There are a few other random bits and pieces around for the Sumerian empire in the game files, someone even made a mod for vanilla adding the Sumerian civilization, using all the assets Firaxis had. Edgecrusher Mar 08, 2009, 04:44 PM You should check out the "concept art" for gilgamesh in the vanilla art. Completely different from what he actually turned out looking like. mechaerik Mar 08, 2009, 05:46 PM Another thing: There's Teddy Roosevelt concept art too, in the BtS folder. BTSformac Mar 08, 2009, 07:14 PM ok, I guess it kinda makes sense now, thanks! Edgecrusher Mar 08, 2009, 08:28 PM there are alot of buttons for "other LH's" too, Sargon, Menes, etc..., plus that other version of Alexander |
