View Full Version : Super Mario Comunist ?!? Portuguese Sep 03, 2002, 03:11 PM Check this site if you have/had any doubts: http://www.murderize.com/Articles/CommunistMario/ Pretty Scary, isn't it ?!? Hitro Sep 03, 2002, 03:15 PM    Should be in H&J ( ) though... Mephisto Sep 03, 2002, 03:16 PM dude, i've always felt something freaky about mario. that's why i never liked to play it as a kid. Hamlet Sep 03, 2002, 03:20 PM That 'Peace flag' is definetley not what it looks, heh. I think it's meant to be a sort of monster-like face or a Koopa shell. amadeus Sep 03, 2002, 03:27 PM I thought it was supposed to be a skull. Hitro Sep 03, 2002, 03:28 PM I thought so too. But I have to admit that it could well be regarded as a peace sign. And the Stalin comparison is great. amadeus Sep 03, 2002, 03:30 PM Well, so was the goomba comparison. What did the goomba ever do? He just waddles back and forth, no threat to Super Mario, who's able to jump and spit fire. Loaf Warden Sep 03, 2002, 03:45 PM The image on the flag is a Koopa shell. I have no direct proof, like a statement from Miyamoto-sensei to that effect, but I remain positive that it's a Koopa shell. On the whole, a pretty amusing expose. :) But if you ask me, the person who wrote it almost seems to be taking it seriously: "Go check for yourself, these pictures are not faked. It's in the f---ing game." Dude, lighten up. You're getting a little too caught up in your own joke. MrPresident Sep 03, 2002, 03:50 PM I just love this bit, "we can see how expendable the people become when they hinder Mario’s bloodthirsty pursuit for power." Mario and bloodthirsty pursuit for power in the same sentence. Amazing. Portuguese Sep 03, 2002, 03:50 PM I just put here a link to a site I receive in an e-mail. But it is worth a few minutes the site, I think... Becka Sep 03, 2002, 04:12 PM I've seen this before at CGN. Hilarious. :D :yeah: "AHHH TURTLE HURTS" animepornstar Sep 03, 2002, 04:52 PM when thinking about it... super mario bros had same colours as communist propaganda. check the similarity: http://www.internext.com.br/valois/pena/soviet.jpg super mario? http://www.pcgameplay.co.uk/Specials/Big%2050/Super%20Mario%20Bros.jpg comrade ivan? Archer 007 Sep 03, 2002, 05:47 PM One of the funniest things i've ever read. ApocalypseKurtz Sep 03, 2002, 07:06 PM heh this reminds me of one of my friends from college who is a socialist. One day while a bunch of us were playing Mario 1 for NES (yes MARIO 1) the socialist started raving about how the game symbolizes capitalism. The only thing I remember him saying was how one of the goals is to get as many coins i.e. wealth as possible, therefore capitalism. amadeus Sep 03, 2002, 07:36 PM I guess Donkey Kong represents U.S. "cruelty" to circus animals to making them do tricks. Mephisto Sep 03, 2002, 07:36 PM apocal:  what an idiot! :D CSL Sep 03, 2002, 07:49 PM i believe they call this a joke site  Zarn Sep 03, 2002, 08:15 PM I seen this before. If Mario is a Commie, would Luigi be a Capitalist? amadeus Sep 03, 2002, 08:39 PM Luigi is Brezhnev. Not as bad as Stalin, but pretty bad. Baleog Sep 03, 2002, 08:46 PM It's all coming together. My love of Nintendo and hatred of Sega. It finally makes sense. What have I become. <washes hands> Dirt won't come off. ... F*ck it. Happy this way. :) Alcibiaties of Athenae Sep 04, 2002, 11:10 AM Wrong forum...moved. Wolfe Tone Sep 04, 2002, 11:42 AM I always knew I had a good reason not to buy a nintendo. I was a sega man myself back in the day. Down with Mario and its propaganda. SoRHunter Sep 05, 2002, 06:17 AM Who would ever think Mario was a communist? I'll throw my Nintendo onto the nearest garbage can... :( SKILORD Sep 05, 2002, 11:49 AM but.... i liked mario...... whast about Luigi? napoleon526 Sep 05, 2002, 06:30 PM This is my favorite picture from this site: |
