View Full Version : Scenraio Requests
tokeganji Mar 08, 2009, 08:57 PM I just had a few ideas for scenarios. Unfortunately, I neither have the time nor the expertise to make 'em myself. If anyone likes the sound of any of these scenarios, please make them. :P
1.) Crimean War: kinda surprised no one's done this yet
2.) Modern-day South America: just a map of SA where you can pick any of the modern countries; seems like it would be a fun continent to conquer when it's crowded
3.) Scenario where you play as one of the 13 original colonies. I think it would be fun as hell if it was just a map of the eastern seaboard, settlers were disabled, and everyone was at war
If anyone's tickled pink/red/maroon/any other color by any of these ideas, please respond. :D
Tholish Mar 08, 2009, 09:04 PM There's a scenario request thread. However, I would like to see English Civil War and or Thirty Years War (of which the ECW was really a part) or even The Reformation..
Ajidica Mar 08, 2009, 09:06 PM Sorry, Doublepost
Ajidica Mar 08, 2009, 09:07 PM Early modern Europe might be fun. Going from Fall of Constantinople/Discovery of the Americas to Napoleon. Might be better as a mod though.
Ginger_Ale Mar 08, 2009, 09:07 PM Moved to the main forum.
tokeganji Mar 10, 2009, 04:50 PM Another thought, does anyone know of any good World War I mods? WW2 is nice and all, but it's kinda been done to death at this point.
Ajidica Mar 10, 2009, 05:09 PM Snafusmith's WWI mod should be coming out soon. Trip made a good one for vanilla a while ago.
SmokedSalmon Mar 15, 2009, 05:01 AM World War I would be a great scenario but only in Europe map not World map, also with infantry lined up as if in the trenches, nobody ever puts these in, forts, soldiers, chaos.
Lord Kitchener!

I believe there are a few scenarios kicking around here in the main forum for Creation and Customisation as well as in the Scenario specific sub-forum. I haven't tried any out, though.
Flying Pig Mar 17, 2009, 01:55 PM Some modern conflict - I always think that the commanders are idiots whenever I hear about the Afghan campaign recently. There are loads of aspects of modern fighting which are left out

Sadly the British death rate as being going up recently. Between 2001-2008 about 100 men died. Since 2008 a further 30 have lost their lives. Western Intervention doesn't work in the Middle-East. Or at least, not without breaking UN Regulations...
Flying Pig Mar 18, 2009, 03:18 PM It would work, though, if we trained up an Afghan TA ans then pulled out - everyone hatess us, not each other, and aving a local army which could deal with it would solve the problem - I had the same solution for the Troubles (RIP those two guys shot recently) - to create a local force to sort out the problem and then get out! We looked like occupiers, which made people hate us.
Anyway, i would like the Falklands - that was mostly done well.

Yes, I agree with you on that method. Though it could cause more problems as local armies trained up by Western troops could easily be seen as puppets.
Flying Pig Mar 21, 2009, 02:43 PM You wouldn't say that you were training them - remember that the USA managed to get 16000 advixors into south Korea during thewar? Soldiers are good at disguising their role
tokeganji Mar 25, 2009, 06:48 PM when did this thread turn into a political discussion? :P

Politics are the root of all evil. So it was bound to pop up.

Is beheading allowed under the Geneva Convention?
