What are the disadvantages when AI spreads a corp to your cities rather than creating and spreading it?

What about a corp that does not produce gold like mining inc?

Does it help for a human player to spread corp to AI?

Every corporation drains some gold from the city it is in and funnels it to the corporation headquarters. When you create the corp the gold is funneled to your own city where you hopefully have Wall Street so it makes little difference in the gold overall in your empire. When a computer spreads it to you, or you spread it to the computer, the city gains the corporation bonus in exchange for sending this gold to another empire's corporation headquarters. So you get the bonus and the AI gets the gold. Spreading your corporation to the AI gives you gold in exchange for giving the AI whatever the bonus is. Just keep in mind what bonus you are giving to what AI.

I'm new to BtS so this is a good thread to chip in on... Last night I was spreading corporations (four in all, lol) around to small friends and vassals on the continent, it seemed to make a difference in my bottom line once I got it in a bunch of AI cities. It was near the end of the game and I used the income to fund 100% culture (I decided to go for my first BtS culture victory) and still produce espionage as well as a fair bit of science.

I wasn't 100% sure it was making a difference in income, I figured I could've been imagining it or something. Now I know for sure :)

I wonder if you can spread corps to barb cities
