Hey, that looks like a great starting position. I hope the water is an inland lake so I can begin irrigating ASAP.

*Can't wait to get home from work to download and play :)*

Yup, that seems like a good starting position. I probably move the settler onto the hill with the grape and build my capitol there.:D

Thanks JFL_Dragon.

I think I'll build my city where it is, early wheat within the city radius is great! With monarch and no barbarians, I wouldn't expect to be attacked early, so my capital on a hill might not matter.

No barbarians means no goody huts, right?

By the way, the manual got part of the data correct. India is religeous and commercial.

However, FYI, I believe War Elephant is 4/3/2, not 4/4/2 as stated in the manual.

Either cultural or conquest should mean a relatively novel game for me. I have won each way only once.

Greg

Actually, I refer building my city on the hill because I want to gain 2 extra foods to feed my hungry citizens in the future.:D In this case, I would also instantly get 1 happy people for the next 4 turns which would add a few extra point to the score.:)

I was afraid of these Super Deity challenges because I thought they were Deity level :( So I didn't invest time in even checking them out... I don't think I will have time to play them though... but anyways...

Deity in Monarch, who would have believed... :p

When you say rules are the same as GOTM does that have anything to do with scoring or just the no reloads and looking at spoilers?
A few posts into this thread Moonsinger is talking about happy people and the extra score this will bring. Is this going to effect the scoring in anyway or is it all on victory by the conditions?

No just the rules of GOTM such as no reloads, looking at spoilers, scout denial etc.

The scoring is simple in that you get 2 points for a win by designation. If there is a draw for the winner or people on equal points the year of victory will be relevant

Sorry, at first I didn't know what I supposed to do with the SDC game, but I do now.:) Just play it normally as you would play for fun. If you happen to win by designated victory condition, you get 2 points. Otherwise, you get cancellation point for trying.
